I would be interested in taming the stunted direhorn on my Gnome 100 huntress but I do have a question isn't this considered an exploit and Blizzard can when they fix it take the pet away?

They've only removed the Worgen pet and the Fire Patch pets. Worgen didn't make sense considering Worgen are just animals, but the fire patch ones were legit exploits.

This shouldn't be at risk of being one of those exploits. The Stunted Direhorn existed back in Pandaria and was classified as tameable back then, after all. This is just our first time being able to do so.

Oh ok thank you for the explanation had me concerned because I don't want to risk my account over a pet and I didn't know it was classified as tamable back then so ya I would be interested in taming one they look so cute.

EDIT: I will be on my Gnome all day doing invasions and running raids for gold and transmog.

Fang and I are having issues; I got the whispers, and I put Hysteria on him. He can't take the summon because he gets flagged for pvp, and put in combat. How do we get around this?

A warning - if you're doing chain-taming (like we were) on a server, sometimes raptors may spawn instead of Direhorns. I think to be safe, you have to leave at least one Direhorn up at all times, to convince others to spawn. Only a theory, but when we got rid of all of them, raptors spawned.

Grats on the tames guys! Was happy to share.

Ten seconds is not enough time though, how did you do that? Tame is 8 seconds, things turn friendly again when your Hysteria buff falls off, and there's also load screen lag.

I may be wrong but I believe you have a couple of extra seconds to continue taming after the buff runs out. Any longer and the tame will fail though. For load screen lag, disabling addons and putting the settings on low should help speed it up. I helped my friend tame it and he plays on a toaster with long loading times.

Pets to test include Petrified Stone Bat and Decomposing Thistle Bear.

I tested both and they both work! Though they both revert to normal models with normal animations so it's not worth taming them. It was amusing taming a dead Bear though, haha.
