I don't think anyone's mentioned this yet (if they have I apologize) but I believe I vaguely remember a Horde-side quest in Hellfire Peninsula that gives you a felhound and makes you kill things with it/feed it to make it crap so you can rummage around for keys. Would you be able to use this pet?

I have tried today. When i call the felhound , there is no pet bar Q_Q.... cant be a pet

Found another one

There is a world quest in Val'sharah called "Lost Wisp" that has you growing trees around a fish infested lake as a Wisp. This Wisp is technically a pet and using the Essence Swapper will work on it.

Since there's size issues and whatnot, has anyone tried massive pets, like Hozzer (Polar Bear, Howling Fjord) and Terrokarrantula (red spider, Terrokar Forest)? Would they grow huge, or just be average?

Tamed Terokkarantula just to test this, and transformed it into the Demon. It was a really small version of the Demon form. So far the largest I've found was with the Crab (the crab I used was Karkin rarespawn).

The Stormheim world quest "Cry More Thunder!" gives you control of a dragonkin pet named Vethir, but he takes off so fast you don't have time to use the Essence Swapper on him.

There's three items scattered around Val'sharah that turn you into an armored druid form; Bear, Cat, and Moonkin. I found one on my Warrior, and it changed my action bar much like the lost wisp quest. I can't find one on my Hunter though.

I can't recall what it looked like on the ground, but it clearly had a yellow aura like a quest item. If someone finds one of these, do try them out. I'm driving myself nuts trying to find one, since they're all over the place.


EDIT: Found one, but it doesn't replace your pet. You can't do anything except for the buttons they give you. I want a druid pet already, let us have one!

did the hodir quests to try for the earthen ring people and it worked kinda. just like the lost vikings quest you only get one of them. at least this time its the one i wanted.

I wonder if Terokkarantula turned Hati small just because it has to shrink to become a hunter pet? There are some tameable crabs on the southern part of Westfall's coast that are critter-sized. Wonder if they would make Hati big?

Just now in Dalaran I saw a hunter run by with a Cinder wolf look on Hati.

Does anyone have info on getting that look?

Just a quick note, Ghostcrawler makes huge alt skins. Left is Thok, right is Hati (after being swapped with Ghostcrawler).

If you want the biggest pets, Ghostcrawler makes them huge.

Thanks for the heads up. Turns out its the crab model that makes them huge. I used a common one outside of Org to get a large Saurok. This makes at least 4 different size Ihgaluk pets you can get (roach, grub, basilisk, dookie, saurok).

I only tested it on the Ihgaluk transformations. I don't know if it works when a crab pet is polymorphed or transformed through other means.

All you need to do is have the transformation effect you are wanting to copy hit your crab pet. In the Ihgaluk example, simply have the crab pet out when you go to the Crag on Isle of Thunder. There are some pre-requisite quests required in order to get the Ihgaluk transformation to occur, and since it is several xpacs back I'm afraid I don't remember what those are. If you don't transform within seconds of entering the Crag, then the pre-requisites haven't been done.

Once your crab pet transforms, it *should* automatically be larger, and thus your Hati will be larger when Essence Swapper is used.

I have used the balance-stone , it doesn't work when you are in moonkin. sad

Aha so the larger form is for transforms only. i was trying to get it to work with a quest replace mob haha. thanks for the info

I've been trying every vehicle and daily I could think of that had some kind of follower, but nothing showed up. Either I did all of the quests already, or there's just so few available that we can use. I hate myself for doing Loremaster back during MoP.

I would kill to have a druid form Hati. Cat, Bear, whatever. Just a druid of any kind.

You shouldn't have to have Hati out to transfer the image. A pet, yes, but not Hati. I have essence swapped Hati while in MM spec before.

Its weird because I am Channeling the Essence swap on the current look/pet that I have MC'ed but nothing is transferd over to hati at all so I wonder if Blizz has thought ahead with the MC'ing.

Tried using the Gnomish Universal Remote on Mechanicals to see if you could get some weird robot pets, but the trinket is a channeled cast and breaks when you try to use the Essence Swapper, though the Mechanical you control is classified as a pet.
