Bring On The Nightbane Mount!!

No seriously, ever since BC, ever since Kara, ever since FOREVER, I have wanted this boy as a mount. And coming in patch 7.1 he can drop himself as a mount from old Karazhan! /GLORY PRAISE

This looks awesome and being a drop from old Kara makes it better since not many of us can run mythics to try for a mount but what about the quest I thought you had to have to summon him or am I mistaken.

Effigy, I'm with you on this one, even more excited than about Long-Forgotten Hippogryph. Always eyed this model whenever I was in Kara / Felmyst in Sunwell (even if she is not fiery) / or in Dragonblight.

You need to be Honored with Violet Eye and go through a lengthy questchain

However, seeing as the mount requires 110... I'm afraid source of drop as old Karazhan might be a typo, and actual source would be the Mythic dungeon of 7.1

I'm 99% sure it's for New Kara too. I can't see them going back and putting something this desirable into a raid that anyone over 85 can casually slap every week.

I wondered that too but there's a problem. He drops FROM Nightbane and Nightbane does not carry over to new Kara from the reports.

Nightbane is not a part of dungeon journal in Return to Karazhan, yeah. Maybe he's unlocked similar to old Karazhan's questline or spawns during World Quest like snail in EoA or plant in Darkheart Thicket, who knows

Personally, I'd only be glad for a reason to keep going to old Karazhan, but the chances of them putting a new mount to the old raid seem... minimal

Except not really? I mean if this is celebrating Karazhan they may have done just that. Not every mount has to be hard to get, not sure why people seem to think that. Its far more unlikely he shows up in the Broken Isles as a world quest as that makes no sense, seeing as we can't even fly there yet. Until I'm told otherwise its been reported he's from old Kara so that's what I believe.

They add companion pets to old content, why not a mount? It doesn't seem that far fetched to me either.

Just wanted to let ya's know....as of the latest build, its confirmed that the Nightbane mount is in NEW Karazahn, not the old one.

I figured. That mount is hella too sexy for them to put in an old farm raid.

I bet it's crazy hard to get too, like a .005% drop rate or some complex/nigh impossible cheevo thing like the original ZA bear.

The source just says 'Return to Karazahn' as far as I'm aware....no bosses or anything listed
