Muffinus confirmed that the Abyss Worm is a flying mount and not an aquatic-only mount, which was a relief.

I also asked if there was a hunter pet version of it, but he didn't say anything so I guess not.

Well, there is a version without a saddle, and it seems old god themed (which is entirely my thing) so could be the same case as with the Grinning Reaver in that it'll be a common tameable worm mob in the next expansion. Part of me hopes that it's a special worm tame, though. It looks really cool.

And of course the first thing I had to ask is if it would be tameable. >:)

So overwhelmed. So many mounts I want so badly.. hope I can get them all. Pvp really drains me though Hope they aren't all rbg/arena related and instead are something more interesting, like the MoP pvp dailies, the Free for all achievement, etc.

Yeah, that's the Abyss Worm we were talking about. It's a drop from the naga boss in Tomb of Sargeras, and it can fly, so it's not an aquatic-only mount.

Also some people (<------ !!!!) hoping it becomes a tameable pet.

I do wonder if it could possibly have an increased swim speed as well? It'd make it the first of its kind, having a 100% swim speed as well as being able to be used regularly elsewhere. Would be pretty awesome.

It drops from a naga and seems like a N'Zoth-y, underwater sea monster.

Increased swim speed would make sense, but if it didn't have that - well, I'm just happy enough that it can fly/be used on the ground, rather than just being another painfully unique but hardly usable aquatic-only mount.
