I try not to complain about this, but it's ridiculous that the dragon market has basically hit a standstill. People are waiting for dragons to grow up and be sold for cheap so they can nab em for leveling in the coli. Getting to whether I'm going to have to start exalting everything or waiting for them to grow and level them myself. Wish the admins would address them beyond FR is not a breeding/selling game.

I really try not to complain about it too but boy, am I feeling that too, Tyger. I need to get a coli team leveled up so I can just level and exalt stuff myself- I haven't sold a dragon (beyond one to a friend) in ages..

At this point, I don't even know what they could do to make it better. New players don't make a difference anymore, and even then, there's only so many more new people that are going to sign up. Even if they finally came out and said "yes this is a breeding and selling game" it wouldn't fix this mess.

There's only two fixes I can think of, and I don't know if even they would be enough:
-Drastically reduce the cost of lair expansion/give more slots per each expansion
-And/Or give lairs infinite space
-Allow people to use multiple accounts/lairs

I am too a little bit meh over FR. They need to come up with a viable income source for casual players...and not only for treasure but also for gems. The gem price is so stupidly high that atm one gem is worth more than 1000 treasure :/

if they gave infinite lairspace i would be over the moon. i wouldn't give a goddamn that i've spent so much getting my lairspace to what it is now, all that would matter to me is that i had the space to do whatever the hell i want with without having to worry about running out :/

infinite lair space would only work if they scaled food collection with how many dragons you have.. else you have starving dragons... :/

without paying for lair space the price of gems will go even higher because treasure will be worthless. They need a sink those are important. I think a viable fix would be adjusting exalting make it more desirable as well as dominance, make the rewards worth fighting for.

Exalt should give 10 gems for each 5 dragons you exalt.. that would be a good reward ... but doubt they will do that heh

Yeah, like I said, I don't know what they could do to fix it. I understand needing gold sinks, which is why I didn't just outright say infinite lair space, nor did I imply to give it without actually paying for it. I do feel that the farther you go, the less it's worth expanding because the cost is so high and making treasure in this game is just about the most tedious thing ever and extremely time consuming.

Some other, bigger shift with exalting/dominance could definitely be one way to try and handle the problem, though we're still going to encounter people who see exalting as bad, like they're killing their dragons or something. I don't expect to ever get to the sales prices we had in the beginning--the game was new and there weren't as many players--but it would be nice if we could see dragons selling for about 6k-7k and doubles closer to 10k or something. As it is, I'm getting major burnout. I love seeing the babies my dragons produce, Otis was really excited about his new lair idea, but with nothing moving and none of us having time for fairgrounds/coli, we're seriously debating about quitting the game.

Tyger all I can say is do what you need to, I find long term things to keep focused but yeah its hard when so much depends on treasure and gems and its hard to make.

pbbtbtbbt a nice Umber/Blood/Blood male was finally hatched today and he... has arcane eyes. The one color of eye that looks truly awful with the genes I have planned. Guess it's time to wait for another to hatch and hope this time it's anything else!

Though in the end it's a good thing bc I would have needed to give him Glimmer and boy, gem genes. boy.
