Knowing Blizzard and how many jumping puzzles exist on argus, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if we have a challenge tame for the voidstalkers.

Shadow Stalkers are a Panthara summoned by the Ethereals in the Shadowguard Incursion. They are untamable.
Feasel the Muffin Thief is still Lvl 112. He isn't tamable and does not have a diet.
Demonfly Acidmaws are, unsurprisingly, still untamable. No diets.
The Acidmaw Larvae are also still untamable and have no diets.
Slithon the Last is still listed as untamable and has no diet. The PH tag has been removed from his name.
The Subdued Ruins Wanderers are tamable.
Chitinous Cragscalers, Felscarred Marsuuls, and Argus Darkrays are all tamable.
Puckish Marsuuls are tamable.
Naroua is Lvl 112 and untamable, but has a diet.
Young Duskcloak, Duskcloak Panthara, and Duskcloak Apex are all tamable.
Sabuul is Lvl 112 and untamable, but has a diet.

I hope the Mana Rays don't make a constant obnoxious flapping sound and wing clipping issues.

I can't be bothered with a lot of flying pets for those reasons.

Is that just the camera angle, or is that talbuk unnaturally large?

Just the camera angle. I like to post pets up close when I tame them. The talbuk is about shoulder height on a female draenei otherwise.

Er, I only just realized from Valnaaros's pics that there are TWO Argus talbuk models - one with spread horns and one with sleek? Damn, gonna have to take a bunch more pics. I thought there was only one model.

EDIT: the model in WMV shows four horns. It looks like either one or other set is switched off in the various beasts.

Hmmm I somehow pictured the Mana Rays to be a bit bigger... :|

The level of detail in them is really beautiful, shame to be lost in a small sized beast. That and it's not like we don't have others with a much much larger body/wingspan.

Hmm, I wonder if all talbuks that use that model randomly end up with one horn config or the other. And if it changes on pet resummon. Gonna have to check that out in a bit unless someone checks first :) I'm busy with the database right now.

From what I've seen, there are only a few cases where a single mob has the possibility of having one horn set or the other. The Chitinous Cragscalers are one such. But in many, if not most cases, it is only possible for a mob to have one of the sets. Many talbuks mobs can spawn in various colors, but they can only spawn with one of the horn sets.

I'm double checking all the Talbuks. I'll update on this post which ones have the spread horns, and which have the sleek horns.

The blue Wild Cragscalers always have spread horns, but the tan and purple Wild Cragscalers will always have sleak horns.
Baruut the Bloodthirsty (light blue) has spread horns.
Shadowcrazed Chitinbuks (purple) always have spread horns. Skittish Chitinbuks (tan and purple) always have sleek horns.
Chitinous Ruinwalkers and Ruinwalker Calves (tan, blue, and light purple) will always have sleek horns. Chitinous Stags (purple) will always have spread horns.
Subdued Ruins Wanderers (blue, tan, and light purple) will always have sleek horns.
The Chitinbuk Grazers (blue and tan) can have both sleek and spread horns.
Chitinous Cragscalers can have both sleek and spread horns.

Thanks. That's going to be an extra layer of confusion until we sort it out :P Variation is good, though.

(Flare doesn't help)
Has this been figured out? These Duskcloaks are near tar pits with Tar Eater mobs that do a tar spit and there are Petrified Panthara mobs on the outskirt of these pits. I have a feeling were supposed to do something with tar that prevents them from doing the fade ability, but I've tried a dozen things. Put them in tar traps (in all specs, even with SV specced Guerrilla tactics), had the tar eater spit tar in the panthara direction, kept the panthara in the tar pit for a while. The panthara alpha nor the tar eater seem to drop anything of importance. Just a thought but it seems a good lead.

The thing is, Quiv, all Pantharas do that; even those on Mac'Aree and the Antoran Wastes. I have also tried every possible thing in MM, BM, and Surv. Nothing has come of it. It is possible that we may need an item that allows us to tame them, and that item isn't implemented yet.

It seems the yellow one might be bugged, in that it allows us to tame it without the trick (whatever it is).

I've updated our 7.3 looks page to separate look that have been reported to be tameable from those that haven't:

If I got any wrong please report it here :)
