Panthara taming puzzle-solving thread

This thread made me make an account here finally.

Ive tried Skagglydrink, magic potion and the sun pot thing from the rep vendor as well as what other have listed. No dice.

I've been trying to solve this mystery too.

I think it may have to do with this

Very strong feeling that this item is the key in which case we cannot tame them yet.

I love puzzles but I wish I knew if this one can even BE solved at this point in time.

I've tried all the trapping and kiting stuff as well as trying to tame while naked and nothing yet.

IMHO the only reason nothing works, if everything is working as intended, is because it is gated. This is why I thought of the idea of waiting till week 2 content, when we will have the shroud of arcane echoes. After coming out of stealth, we will be overpowered with energy.

I believe the Shroud was already tested in the ptr. The only reason it would work now is if the trigger wasn't implemented till Live.

It may not have been it seems like this time out there were things hidden from PTR or changed at the last second.

So I have many doubts this can be done yet.

Most pets have no abilities anymore but this may not always be the case.

And terrible looking is subjective, I think they're cool looking. They're thanators!



Anyway, to bring us back on point:

Has anyone tried to do anything taming wise with two hunters from different factions?

Unless a permanent buff or item is given upon doing that, Hazzal, it would be a real hassle to have to get a Hunter of the opposite faction to help you tame a pet.

I haven't, but I can't imagine that would be a requirement. It would be insane to have to coordinate between factions. I'm wondering if it's similar to Gara, which was one of those things that we figured out over several weeks.

My theory is we need that crystalline campfire that Toraan the Revered sells when you get to honored with the Argussian Reach reputation.

The flavor text is interesting in that aspect. Thoughts?

I was actually just thinking the same thing after going through the vendor. But someone else here stated they tried over 400+ toys. Id hope they would have tested PTR new ones if they were available.

I thought the same thing when I saw it this afternoon, but seeing as many people have tried so many things already (including toys), Im not too sure that that might be the solution. The flavour text is appealing though xD

No, it could still very well be time-gated. It is a confirmation that it is not broken, like Shoe Shine Kit or Mask of Artful Dodging. It will eventually be found by someone, but I personally would wait until MacCree is fully unlocked.

Because as we've found, Blizzard will timegate... everything....

Well, the Mask was actually broken, despite Blizz saying otherwise. And when they said it was fixed, it was still broken.

I'm pretty positive that the Panthara are going to be gated behind Mac'Aree along with Jewelcrafting.

It being time gated seems extremely likely but I would love to be proven wrong.
