For those who were wondering, I heard from Mania (who lives in Florida) and she and her husband (and their rats!) are all safe. They haven't even lost power, except for a few flickers.

I hope anyone else here who lives around Florida is safe!

Oh good. I'm waiting to hear from my brother and his family. It was so random here in the Houston area; we know some people who lost everything, but all we had was street flooding.

Good to hear they are safe. My childhood friend lives in Orlando. They are safe too. No power and a huge tree fell down right outside their door.
