Mage Tower can DIAF

This is my druid. A secondary alt I rarely play. But when I do play, its feral. I never play guardian cuz I don't tank. But the mage tower for feral and guardian are so unique and going away, I wanted to get them. Feral mage tower was a lot simpler since I'm familiar with how to press brutal slash the feral spec. However getting the mage tower tint on a barely played classes least played spec was.... truly challenging.

Many many fails at ~10% on Kruul. The thing that tipped me over the edge is I had an artifact talent that attached a hefty dps CD into the artifact ability but the ability tooltip didnt reflect it. Once I realize that, got it first time using it.

So when the mage tower is under attack in a few days, I might be throwing gas on it.

I've yet to try any of the mage tower challenges. I suppose I should on my hunter, at least, since he's got some okay gear. I just wonder how tough it is for BM.

It depends on how high your ilvl is, which legendaries you have, and how well you can follow the mechanics. If you're 910+, have Prydaz, Roots, and/or the shadow hunter mask, and can grasp the mechanics, then you're set. If you don't have those Legendaries but have a good ilvl and can follow the mechanics, then you can do it but it will be harder. If you're of a lower ilvl but have those legendaries, then you can still do it if you adhere to the mechanics.

I did the BM challenge around 920. I had 940 roots and 970 prydaz. I goofed the mechanics up, I took aggro from my pet about half way through, even took a few of his casts, and I still beat it. Not saying thats the best way, but higher ilvl and those legendaries allow for a lot of wiggle room with that fight.

Is it possible to do them as other specs? Like could I do the MM and SV ones as BM because my artefact is a lot stronger?

I wish we could Wain! My Feral would have crushed the tank challenge so fast!

I'm also bummed the transmog for them in BfA is set to be spec specific as well. Thats the main reason I'm not messing with MM challenge. Well that and having the original Rhok is enough for me. But my other toons even, like warlock. They draw some very inconsistent lines with transmog these days. Its perfectly acceptable for a destruction warlock to look exactly like a holy priest head to toe, but for one to use merely the appearance of Ulthahesh (not the actual staff mind you, merely the appearance)? Are you out of your mind? That crosses the line! We need to keep the specs seperate! Now when is this holy looking warlock gonna heal me? Meanwhile my shadow priest can transmog Vengeance and Dreamer, the rogue only daggers that were the precursor to the Cata legendary.

I digress, but it does irk me.

Well I tried my hand at SV mage tower and after a couple runs to learn the mechanics and what can kill me, I got it down. Granted I'm 937 so that helped lol. I didn't have any SV specific legendaries, I used wrist for the 1 min eagle CD on last phase and KJ trinket for burst on adds in the last phase. I never play SV so if a bad like me can get it, I know better players can get it at much lower ilvl.

Ugh MM is next. bah.
