Tamable bug eyed feathered raptor

A tip about something i found in BFA alpha that i haven't seen covered in your info. I have found one hunter tamable bug eyed feathered raptor.

In zandalar/nazmir/soul-southeast side of the frog island (southeast island) there are some "shore saurid" scavenging on the shore, go inland a short ways to find "shore Saurid Matriarch" she is tamable as a raptor. as of yet this is the only tamable version of this model i have seen

We've been referring to them as "compies" on the website, because that's what the model is named.

I think they're called saurids in-game.

I wonder which name will eventually be family's official name, if they don't stay in the raptor family.

That's true, Nazja. The vast majority of them are called Saurids, and none are called compies.

They are almost as tall as my Draenei male (about shoulder height). After being tamed, that is.

Not quite a night elf, but maybe this will give you a reference of scale. They seem to tame to the same size as other raptor models. (I think it would be nice if they were maybe half this size)

HE IS HUGE! THAT MEANS HE HAS HUGE GUTS! RIP AND TE- I mean, that's a big anorexic chicken lizard. Definitely needs to be scaled down, no doubt. It looks so very wrong at that size.

Agreed. A saurid/compy should be at least half that size. If they remain in the raptor family, it would bring more variety by having something that is smaller.

Thanks Veph! I went and pulled out my Draenor raptor, and it seems to be about as tall as the top of female belves ears, whereas the saurid/compy looks like it can put its chin on top of her head. I think having them be shoulder high to a female belf would be a good size? Maybe they'll do a sizing pass on hunter pets later in the beta.

Are these tamable or not cause if they are I sure as heck want one for my Nightbourne hunter.

As of right now, no, but they will probably become playable once the taming pass happens
