8.0 New Expansion pet ideas/wishes

I want the unicorn horses and I'd like some more intimidating pets too. We get a lot of cool/cute ones, but not too many that would scare an enemy. Except not that new spider mount skin....that takes it too far. I run when I see those

I 2nd, 3rd, and 4th the desire for the sabrecorns / unicorns. I don't understand their reluctance to do this. They should have been available from the get go. How could they not know people would REALLY want them?

A sighthound variant for Dogs would be great.

*flail* I would absolutely die of happy if they implemented a sighthound-type option!!! I'll also second (third? fourth? fifth?) the call for sabrecorns. I would love a pet version to go with my Lucid Nightmare mount! XD Also, all variations of maned wolves (including the corrupt/stormy ones), kthxbai.

Not a hunter pet, but we don't have a mini-pet thread... Another pet I'd love to see in the future is some wolfhawk pup battle pets!

While I feel zandalar lends itself to...Dinos, I get a very dark European, Hansel and Greta feel from kul’tiras. So on my wish list I’d like to see lynx ( a bit like Xylexia’s avatar, grey spotted). An updated silversong forest lynx with a bob tail and tufted ears, also an updated wrath wolf model, I know as far as pet models go we are swamped in dogs and cats but my heart has a special place for them as they’re the first pet families I tend to tame when starting a hunter they feel most natural. I’ve seen updated hyenas so I’m chuffed with those although I hope it updates ALL hyenas not just any new ones.

The pterowings/scyscreamers/whatever-they're-called should just be tameable, already! And pythons. Other than that, I really just want to see visual updates for older models such as hyenas, tarantulas, gorillas, foxes, boars, etc. Okay, maybe more additions to slim-pickings families like dogs and shale spiders. African painted dogs, please!

I'd be pretty game for new monkey models, tameable fish / more eels (fits expac theme), and for a lot of the unused colors of everything to find homes. Pirate Yak, too.

I would love a sleek, non-brick core hound, especially if they insist on keeping heroism tied to specific pet families and not just making it, e.g. require you to have any active pet to cast (or letting you spec into it, tying it to a pet specialization vs. family. or, you know, SOMETHING).

I'd also like some more dogs, especially if they go back to having unique family abilities on everything. The dogs in game right now are just... so bad :(

Trying to distract from the annoyance that is 3 out of 4 colorations of a cool new Silithid model arbitrarily not being tameable and 3 out of 4 colorations of the mount not being available, with the only permanent mount being for a legacy event..

I was thinking. If Silithid play a bigger role in Battle for Azeroth (that would be amazing), they could introduce new models and HD versions of old models.

In specific, how cool would it be if they made a rigged and animated hd version of a Silithid queen?



Basically a gigantic version of a mix between a Facehugger, a centipede and a lobster. Now that would be pretty swell to see skittering alongside you in hd glory.

I'd give anything to be able to tame oil stained wolves.

Cloud serpents and variants of the Felhounds of Sargeras would also be something i'd love to have,
Other then that, more dark black, or black and bright color mixed pets.

An update to the old cat model would be nice as it appears to be a mostly forgotten model now. I'd say go the bear route and keep 1 of every skin as a rare spawn.

An update for the old models would be at the top of my wish list! I hope that they'll make an updated two-legged variant if the hydra, though. I'm not fond of their Draenor counterpart.

I'd love to see more dogs added, plus the python model to snakes and the grubns to worms.

Still want an equine family the new horse models and the unicorn/schytehorns are all a long long time wish of mine, all the way back to vanilla and my first encounter with a stag back then i wanted to tame one and couldnt now we can so here is to hoping and wishing,
The pythons are one of my wishes as well after i started RP'ing a troll with one of those <3

As for not in game yet more dog models the mastiff is nice and all but with the millions of races out here in the real world i wish they had given us more to choose from.

And ferrets i want ferrets!
