Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Yeah, I think that they have been for a while now.
Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
If it's been a while, that's worrying, because it means that the game database I've been monitoring and comparing between builds hasn't alerted me to the change :p. I wonder what other family changes I missed.

I feel like Stags should be Ferocity though, to be honest. They have giant horns. :/
But I won't complain, since Tenacity is the preferred spec for raiding if you don't need heroism.

What about Shale Spiders? I’ve seen mixed reports of them still being tenacity, but also now cunning???

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
I just realize they re-did some specs on pets to evenly distribute them.
There's 18 Tenacity, 18 Ferocity, and 19 Cunning.
Then Exotics, there's 4 Tenacity, 4 Ferocity, and 5 Cunning.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Yeah, the Petopia home page should display the correct specs for all families now. The last change was that Gorillas and Bears swapped specs, so Bears are now Tenacity and Gorillas Ferocity.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
I just thought it was neat. I just thought they all willy nilly re-evaluated the pets. Didn't realize they were making it so there was an equal amount of pet families per spec.
Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Yeah It's good. Some feel a bit forced, but I appreciate what they're trying to achieve.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
It’s actually not that big of a deal really.SpiritBinder wrote:Omg, seriously?.... funknuckle.
I was hesitant about the change and about how they said all pets are evened out in terms of health damage etc. I’ve found it to not be 100% truest least in terms of surviveability. My pets like the hyena die a lot faster than my turtle still, I’ve have to add mend pet to my fight rotation to keep them alive with larger pulls.
HOWEVER no matter what spec the pet is in, if it has a damage reduction ability it should be fine for soloing world content if you don’t want to have to worry about spamming mend pet as part of your rotation.
Shale spiders survive just fine out for soloing content.
The spec specific abilities are nice, but the are not going to be what decides my pets this expansion, rather I am going to be focused a lot more on class specific abilities and looking for those damage reduction ones instead.

I thought an 800lb gorilla could be any spec it wants to be...Wain wrote:Yeah, the Petopia home page should display the correct specs for all families now. The last change was that Gorillas and Bears swapped specs, so Bears are now Tenacity and Gorillas Ferocity.

Oondasta and the Skyscreamers are still untamable as of today's build.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
That's a shame. I could understand Oondasta not being tameable, but there's no good reason for Skyscreamers to not be.Valnaaros wrote:Oondasta and the Skyscreamers are still untamable as of today's build.
Hopefully there's still another big taming pass yet to come.

I don't think I have seen a final taming pass so close to prepatch. Makes me nervous, aint gonna lie.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
This. We usually have it approx. a month before the pre patch, yet here we are, almost two weeks till the pre patch and still no sign of a final taming pass. It makes me question whether they actually had time to do it and whether there'll be any special tames. Even if there are, there may not be enough time to discover them prior to the pre patch deploying.Quiv wrote:I don't think I have seen a final taming pass so close to prepatch. Checked various beasts in various locations. Nothing has been changed.

I'm still sad violet panthara aren't tameable.

The Water Elemental got another update that gives it a more watery appearance.
