how many runs did it take to get yours?
i'v started killing him 10 times a night with a break every 4-5 kills.
180 kills (plus 20 or 30 from before achievements started keeping track) and i still haven't seen the damn thing.i'm surprised iv managed this many.i'm hoping to get it before cata hits incase they retire it.
on the plus side iv made a ton of gold selling the enchanting mats i get.and i got a few nice boe upgrades for my friends paladin...

Done about 30ish runs or so spread across all alts, know Aria's done it even more than that. Not seen it.

Seen the god damned blue proto more than the death charger and I've been in less UP runs.

Eh. Funny story, my deathcharger...

Okay, so I'm sitting here, and I need runecloth. Stratholme is the place to go, right? So, I'm on my way, and the entirety of the ride, "Please don't let the horse drop. Please. I hate the horse. There's a guildie who wants it a lot more than me. Drop for him, but PLEASE not me. The horse is ugly, I don't want it, don't let it drop." I land, in I go.

After doing everything, I come to the Baron. Get in, kill him, easy. Loot...I see purple. Oh no. Ohhh no. It's the horse. So I pick it up, and just stare at it, "What am I to do with you?" Finally, I stick it in my mount thing...Day achieved: August 29....My birthday. So I joke it's RNG's greatest gift or biggest prank ever. And to be honest, the horse has grown on me. I rather like my Deathcharger.

Mine took me 417 runs. I started grinding sept 2008, and i finally got in march 2010. I tried to get it for my birthday as thats what i wanted as a birthday gift but it did not drop. I got it the week after my birthday and i was so happy that all were deafened in vent lol.

Forgot to add theres the many runs i did of the place before your achivments started counting kills for you. I recon about another 50 or so runs on my number.

I got my Deathcharger after 78 runs, but it felt like forever. I salute all of you who have managed to make it passed that, I don't think I could!

Still haven't got one for myself. 100+ runs so far with now luck. However, I have seen it drop. Had a really good mage friend of mine who I decided to run Strath with for the rep/mount for his birthday. I figured it was his b-day so why not give him a gift in the game he'll be able to use and treasure. First run through and it dropped. I passed, he cheered over vent and thanked me repeatedly. Still does when I catch him on. I'm still happy for him so I don't feel bummed about it at all. I'm glad at least someone I know got it their first run through. xD

A similar story was when I farmed the firefly mini pet for a friend as a Christmas gift back in BC. It was on the 25th bug I killed. lol

I got mine on my first try. But...of course I still had to run it ten billion times for runecloth since back then there was no argent tournament and I wanted a ram.

if I remember right the drop rate on it is somewhere between 0.001% - 0.0001%

That was correct, but not any longer. The drop rate was increased to 1% in a patch (can't remember which one exactly, sorry) shortly after Wrath came out to both the horror and the relief of us collectors.
