Warfront rares reset timers

I'm sure a lot of us are going to be farming these for the mounts that drop - just wondering if anyone has had the faction flip on their realm yet to see if that's the reset or if it's a weekly thing?

You can kill them once per cycle I think, and when it flips to the other faction I believe everything resets.

The Warfronts are a region-wide thing, so the entire US Horde is working towards gaining control of Arathi atm.

Really? I assumed it was a realm by realm thing? Is oceanic it's own grp then or are we tied to the US timer? Last night the horde where 46% or something

It seems kind of convoluted

and the switch seems to happen very slowly. I mean, if it takes many days when the content is new, how's it going to be in a few weeks when players are even less enthused, unless they add more incentives?

One thing I did last night was kill the rares on my Hordie while I was flagged (since I figured the switch wasn't going to happen any time soon). Fortunately nobody bothered me, but I did get around six pieces of 340-345 gear and the Gutripper mount out of it! I got pretty much nothing on my Alliance toon, so I wonder if I was just really lucky or if you get a lot more gear when you're flagged. If the latter, a lot of people will want the zone to stay in control of the opposing faction.

I got two mounts (the horse and the white raptor), two minipets and three pieces of gear out of the rares with warmode off, so I don't know if warmode is factor?

I think random is just random. I got some nice gear upgrades, but no mounts, pets, or toys.

Yeah, it probably was just random. But 6 pieces of gear plus a mount seemed excessive

So, at the present rate, it looks like there's going to be roughly a week between changeovers, and so the bosses will only be lootable ~ once a week. Is there anything else to do in Arathi in the meantime? I didn't see anything.

I spend my time, as a bitter Hordie, net gunning akf alliance out of the sky. So.. I mean. That's something to do.

I was under the impression that both sides could queue for the actual battle segment once the faction that was not in control got to 100% in the resource collecting phase. That doesn't seem to be what that photo says.

Something else to keep in mind with players getting bored with the resource gathering side of things, is that they are also going to be rotating Warfronts, so the first two "segments" are in Arathi, and the next two are likely in the Barrens or another location, and so on.

No war table that was recently added? (I haven't levelled up any horde toons yet since I'm waiting on a friend to get bfa)

There's now a PC with a quest that you speak to, to queue for the Warfront instance. The first time gets you a piece of 370 gear. Horde won't actually get control of the area for a week.

It seems that the rares haven't reset. I'm guessing they don't reset until the Horde finally gets control? If so, does that mean the rares are only lootable once a fortnight? We'll have like 26 tries at them a year?

I have not gotten any mounts yet but I did get some good gear upgrades, which is always nice.

On reddit it's been reported even tho the Horde have 100% there's still another 6 days to go before scenarios etc become available? So it takes a week and then you wait another week? Seems like an unnecessary time gate to me - so at this rate its two weeks for the rares to reset

I ended up with one bit of useless gear and 2 pets - was looking forward to farming the mounts but this is sloooooow as.
