Petopia server crash

So we should be back and recovered after a server crash caused database corruption yesterday.

Unfortunately we had to revert to a backup from 2 days ago so newer posts may have been lost. If so I’m very sorry but in the end we were forced to do it. I just couldn’t repair the existing copy

That's unfortunate, but at least you had a backup from that recent! I wonder what caused such a thing. D:

This might already be known or just a byproduct of the crash, but just wanted to report the site has been....a bit bumpy for me ever since. Sometimes it doesn't load at all, or is very slow, and I've had it log me out randomly and not display the board properly.

Same. Sometimes it's very very slow and the random log out happens a lot.

I noticed that today. When it first happened I spoke to our server owner, who told me that repair and update processes were causing a temporary slowdown. Maybe he’s running more but I’ll check with him just in case it’s something else.

Syleye trying to get on as we speak but getting bad gateway error

Edit I got error 504 for like 10 minutes and it's super slow.

the new forums seems more trouble than the old one. So much work for you

Re-Log in took some time, kinda hung for a little. But got through eventually. (Using iPhone.)

Its been super slow tonight and a lot of times i get a "ran out of time to connect" message
