Definitely! It's still Alpha, so anything is possible.Wain wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 3:18 amNo Gorm, other than the wasps, are tameable at the moment, so that's possibly a good sign for the matriarch model. They probably need to decide where to put the family before they make them tameable. Plus, like 80% of all the obvious stuff is still untameable too, so anything is still feasible![]()

Be respectful of others or else. Read the details.

Indeed! I'm really curious if these new undead-beasts we're seeing (which seem to be intentionally beasts and probably intentionally tameable) will result in other, older undead beasts becoming tameable too. There are so many possibilities there.

We also still have two colours left over from Draenor that were never used. Maybe we'll find those too.
Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Yeah, I saw some mobs called Necrorays a few builds ago. I would assume those are that.Wain wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 2:47 pm I was looking through all the image files for the new build and found it contains four new colours of manaray, which was unexpected. I wonder what they're for. I'm guessing Maldraxxus or the Maw.

Not sure what to think of such a small reskin, personally.

I openly admit to finding bugs and exploits so they can be reported asap and get fixed. You might have seen some of the fun hunter pet side effects posted here in the past.
I will never share how to perform exploits. The only ones who know are those I personally trust to help get things fixed.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I guess there are plenty of Azeroth models in the Shadowlands, and if the realm is meant to be linked to the entire universe then a Draenor model is just as likely to appear.
In other news, the formerly tameable Sinrunners (horses) in Revendreth seem to be friendly now, so can't be tamed even though they're still flagged tameable. The one in my stable has actually turned into a classic worg, because that seems to be the 'default' model for hunter pets without appearance info.
Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
There are a few colours of the undead chimaera model and at least a couple are already tameable.
And more tameable colours of undead boar (one was tameable in Bastion). The purple is pretty cool.
There's a bunch of really lovely spiders about the place and at least a few colours are tameable. Some are mis-classed as pigs right now. So we have spiderpigs:
There's also at least one tameable "guarm" model. It's classed as a hydra but I hope its either a mistake or they'll change their minds on that. The only relationship they have to hydras is their skeleton. Everywhere they've been used in the game they've been referred to as hounds, or have names linked to mythical hounds. It looks pretty cool, anyway!
There's also tameable necrorays, using the new colours. The mustard-olive one looks like shiny old gold in this lighting.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that! Apparently the horns on this model are optional. So I’ll have to add all the non-horned looks too.worgpower wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 12:52 am I just noticed that the 1st chimaera you’ve shown is bald, no horns, but the second one still has horns, that guarm looks fantastic, which is my favorite guarm color, and I’m dying to have a pet tauralus more than anything in shadowlands, besides the larions and the windsteeds, fingers still crossed for pet phalynxes cuz they make the mech tigers look bad
Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Yeah, it looks like he went through with it. At least on one mob. Still a bad idea, I think, since these creatures have always been used as hounds, and the poll results seem to represent superficial appearance.

I’ve only seen one green one so far but it was level 60, so I couldn’t tame it on the character I was on. But I have a lot of the area left to explore.WerebearGuy wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 3:58 am The undead chimeras look really good without horns. Like, I prefer them without horns by a mile. I hope the green one shows up without horns, because that's the color (and now head) that I want.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Edit-it’s not a new model, it’s actually now using the hyena skeleton with that color for now, I am positive the skeleton change will be on all hell hounds will be to the same as hyenas and dark hounds, I found out this same creature on the picture is also used for risen hound in legion
Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
On a dog note, according to WoWhead, all 3 colors of Shadehound (the armor constructs in the Maw) are tameable with several flagged npcs for them. Now I won't be able to tell what the Torghast/Maw situation will be like. Hell, I'm not even on the alpha, but it is promising that, just like Maw Rats, and Maw Roaches, they're flagged tameable.

I would assume that in the worst case scenario that Torghast doesn't have any conventionally tameable creatures/opportunities to tame flagged creatures, the Maw zone itself will still have its fair share of mobs trying to make your life difficult.
