Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
That would be cool if we could get fel stalkers those things are cute as all hell.
I was thinking, there's no new exotic beast families, maybe it's a hint we might be dropping that specification? Here's hoping.

Oh wow. I better check on those.braunmar wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2020 2:27 am Who ever said God-King Skovald didn't give us anything?
the Engulfed Felstalkers he spawns when you pick a fight with him are tameable and are hounds.
I know this is a bug but I'm I wrong to want these guys to remain tameable

Yes, I doubt that it is intentional for them to be tamable.Wain wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2020 4:54 amOh wow. I better check on those.braunmar wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2020 2:27 am Who ever said God-King Skovald didn't give us anything?

AAnyone checked undead whelps in Icecrown, Sindragosa's Fall? Probably a long shot, but they are undead

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
It is always possible that they are, but how the Undead group works is that they are members of already existing families. The undead whelps wouldn’t fit into any existing families, and so it is unlikely that they are tamable. That said, if someone wants to go and check them out, it can never hurtAaralyn wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2020 7:35 am AAnyone checked undead whelps in Icecrown, Sindragosa's Fall? Maybe they're considered exotic? Try hitting 20 and checking againKaydia wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2020 1:53 am Update on Zhao-Ren on the Wandering Isle:
We know that Pandaren are able to tame Cloud Serpents without the Order rep. It's weird that Beast Lore says it is tameable but a Pandaren Hunter doesn't know how to tame it. Maybe there's a certain level Cloud Serpent taming unlocks for Pandaren? It may be intentional to prevent a low level player from having a cloud serpent pet, or it may be a bug. I'll submit a bug report for it. I'm also not going to progress the quest line any further. I'll log her out here and check on it again after the update next week.
Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
It might not be a bug. There's a ghost wolf that spawns as part of a quest "boss" fight in Pandaria that are tameable and intended to be so.braunmar wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2020 2:27 am Who ever said God-King Skovald didn't give us anything?

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
It is more than they are Felstalkers, which are demons, and not actually beasts. I get that some are interested in having them, but I think that demons should remain something that are largely in the domain of Warlocks.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
There are hellhound and darkhounds summoned from inner demons and nether portal, but I understand why dreadstalkers should be untameable, but I wish there was a beast similar to dreadstalkersValnaaros wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2020 1:11 pm It is more than they are Felstalkers, which are demons, and not actually beasts. Which is honestly why I wish Demo locks could do something similar to taming beasts, but for demons.Valnaaros wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2020 1:11 pm It is more than they are Felstalkers, which are demons, and not actually beasts. Same for Unholy DKs and non-animal undead.

Kunchong for hunter pets!

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I completely agree. They don’t have to make new demon families or anything. Just, for example, have Felstalkers and Felhunters be in the same family.Qraljar wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2020 1:14 pmWhich is honestly why I wish Demo locks could do something similar to taming beasts, but for demons.Valnaaros wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2020 1:11 pm It is more than they are Felstalkers, which are demons, and not actually beasts. I would love to have an Ur’zul, a vile fiend, and a felbat on my warlock’s sideValnaaros wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2020 1:16 pmI completely agree. They don’t have to make new demon families or anything. They're part of the serpent family, which is not exotic. I need to get to 20 with her anyway to check on the Guardian of the Elders later in the questline.
Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I know they're serpents. But I'm thinking it might be a weird exception to a rule or a coding stipulation that wasn't removed.Kaydia wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2020 1:20 pmGoblinoid wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2020 8:38 amMaybe they're considered exotic? Worth checking at least
Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I am a monster. I only felt slightly better about this because it's beta and I wasn't actually stealing someone's chance at a super rare mount.
Also, the Crimsonscale Firestorm on the TImeless Isle is tameable. That's the red one I have.
Huolon keeps his name when tamed.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I’m still waiting for a tameability on a green thundering cloud serpent, if not, I’ll get a heavenly blue serpent

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Can't wait for live to see how salty people will get once Cloud Serpent taming comes to live servers. Hope the Secret Finder Discord will be open to help Hunters tame these mount rares, because I don't want to see them stolen from people who've had to wait for a chance at disappointment.
Also, I wish there was a tameable normal green one. No thunder, no heaven, just a regular serpent. Only one I have seen on wowhead despawns very quickly.
