Beasts in Island Expeditions are not tamable. Probably for the best, since it will be tedious to get into them.

Here's another boss that might keep its name when tamed: https://shadowlands.wowhead.com/npc=127 ... sand-queen first boss of Tol Dagor. Also, the three Scale Matriarchs in Nazjatar should be tameable now. Would be nice to have a named hydra with those colors.

I’m still waiting for phalynxes to be tamed by someone, and hopefully some day, Blizz can let us tame armadillos, sea lions, soul eaters, and swimming creatures which can either have floating water under them or a bubble surrounding them

Already confirmed, though somehow not posted in the thread. I could've sworn someone posted images, but I couldn't find em. Aroim on twitter has this though.

Nothing terribly exciting but, I did go to check on the Scale Matriarchs. Gratinax was up (only one can be at a time), but she was tameable and keeps her name so it's probably safe to say the other 2 do as well.

I hope the mech cats and toads become tameable, the 2 can be found near where scrap king spawns, plz Blizz, add those in, I want those mechs

Ayy, my favorite model's last ingame color is tameable, nice. Just need the blue and yellow chicks, and my collection would be complete. Love those birds. Also glad to see the upgraded Lucid Nightmare is tameable too.

Those are cool tames, only if all the teroclaw colors would be available, the blue one would match the ha-li mount that I luckily got this week, the gorm looks like it came out of a gold mine, and that dreamrunner looks like a Druid Merged with the lucid nightmare

That's great to know! I had confirmed they were tameable previously (they're marked as upcoming, like a bunch of other Nazj stuff) but they didn't retain their names at the time. It looks like some (or maybe all?) of the ones we'd previously confirmed didn't keep their names might do so in SL

I should mention:

You can't use our NPC ID macro on *tamed* pets in Shadowlands as they all now give the same generic pet ID, and if you view their model it shows a generic classic worg model.

It looks like there's been a major change in how pets are spawned in SL. Previously they retained the ID of the creature you tamed them from - perhaps because they were actually using that model. Now, it appears a generic pet model is spawned and assigned the saved appearance of the creature you tamed.

Then again, perhaps it's always been done this way, and the lack of proper ID thing is a SL bug.
