I said it before and I'll say it again

If Revendreth has some kind of item to teach hunters to tame Gargon
And Maldraxxus has some kind of item to teach hunters to tame Undead
Then surely Ardenweald would be a perfect place to introduce an item to tame Drust/Wicker creatures.

Kunchong for hunter pets!

They would of been good for taming now due to how undead they look, but people will say they’re drust, not undead, but they’re not constructs like the hounds and other drust creature, they would be perfect for forsaken and kul Tirans, plz Blizz, we need those to be tameable
I'll be happy with a purple hellhound model for my Void Elf Hunter of Maldraxxus.

Sounds like a fine idea, it can be unlocked for kul tirans without a tome, but I’ll do anything to tame a wicker bear and cat

On an unrelated note, I notice that this look hasn't been confirmed tameable yet. Only that other version with the slender body and funky skeleton. Is this model even in the game? I can't find any on wowhead that use it.
DOUBLE EDIT:
Nevermind, I just overlooked it since they both look so similar.
Found one! The Hellhounds in Tideskorn Harbor are tameable!

Excellent. The fog is subdued enough to not be overwhelming. So much better than the ugly rat-like ones.

I would love to see a foggy hellhound paired with the weird looking skeletal hellhound which is the same color as the foggy one but with hyena animations and no glow

I really want wicker beasts, too! Wait--what about those mushroom-y deer? Would they count as undead?

I was exploring Kul'Tiras looking for any cool tames on beta and stumbled upon Horde Axethrowers with Track Beast. They can be beast lored and has the same abilities and diet as a boar.

Something I've been wanting to do for a very long time!

I'll be waiting on the highland, with its wonderful serenity.
Where the stars glow and the brooks flow, that's my way of life.
When the mountains on the highland, and the nature is surrounding me, when the wind blows, that's all I need.

Hunters on Beta that are using Undead pets:

I've noticed that Mend Pet doesn't seem to work on them at the moment. I've submitted a bug report, but be careful.

I just made a survival undead hunter, wanted to keep an undead theme, now it’s hard to get pets that are undead, but on SL prepatch, it will be EZ

Went on my alliance to check it out. They can't be tamed

Sooooo....This is one of a kind and Blood Elf Hunter only...

One of these spawns in the last stage of the Blood Elf Heritage Quest. It is tameable. It is the only ghost Beast Abomination in the game.

*EDIT:* Taming it will prevent further progress with the quest. As usual, the quest can be abandoned and picked up again, giving BE Hunters a crack at two of them, if they wish.

You'll never get a second chance at that if you get the heritage armor on your account. Neat that a cool thing is hidden in there, but that kind of sucks that it's such a nonsensical requirement, especially if you've already earned your armor.

I have the armor already unlocked on my account. This premade level 50 hunter is on the same beta account, and server, as the character that unlocked it, my DH that I imported. All the hunter had to do was talk to the blood elf in front of the Embassy and get the quest to go talk to Lor'themar to start the event.

Oh neat, didn't know that was a thing. My only belf is a demon hunter, so I never really thought to check.
EDIT: Is this after you copied your account data? Or without doing so? Account-wide progress stuff isn't automatically set on an account in betas, unless it's done by default now.

After copying my account data. The hunter had the heritage set in his transmog appearances when I started the quest.

Picking the quest up again can be confusing.

1. Abandon the quest.
2. Exit the scenario using one of the hearthstones you have. The guild cape that teleports you to Orgrimmar will work as well.
3. Take the Orgrimmar portal to Shattrath.
4. Take the Shattrath portal to the Isle of Quel'Danas.
5. Find Lady Liadrin outside of the Sun's Reach Armory. Talk to her to get the quest again. Rinse, repeat.
