oof, sorry to hear that. Now that they have a direct predict morphology link on the dragon's page, that's what I use for previews.

I was so happy to see a new breed but it's not going to happen for me for awhile. Making it a gem item is not something I can do

Hopefully it will happen quicker than you think! I was able to pick up a couple of Veilspun in the AH for treasure this morning, one even had the gem gene I was wanting. There should be much more variety and cheaper prices in five days.

I feel bad for using my two gifted Veilspun scrolls on my self... should have gifted them away..

They were a gift for you. If the giver had wanted them given away to someone other than you, they could have done that themselves. I don't think it's selfish at all.

I agree with Syl and AcadiAnne. They were for you so you have every right to use them for your own projects.
