Pretty Dragons
Pretty Dragons
I got completely sidetracked today just looking at pictures of pretty dragons.
Does this game require more than a little real money to be serious in?
If not, will someone teach me how to play this game and give me a dragon to start with? If possible I would like a brown one. I really, really like the oriental body with the deer horns and the feathers, and the feathery, fae-like body with the long legs and the beak.
Third one down and fifth one down are the bodies I like.
(Saved my favourite coloured ones from the free-to-good-home thread. I read the whole thing. All 238 pages of it.)

Re: Pretty Dragons
Hello,
Flight Rising does not require real life money to be enjoyable. The first thing you would need to do is make an account and choose your flight. Then let us know your name there and we can add you on to our members list. A lot of us give away dragons we hatch.

Re: Pretty Dragons
Which flights represents the fae-like, feathery, beaked dragons? Is it a particular one?

Re: Pretty Dragons
Any flight can have any of the different dragons breeds though there are certain breeds aligned more with the different flights. For example Fae dragons are Arcane

Re: Pretty Dragons
The feathery, beaked dragons are called Skydancers. The ones that look like butterflies are called Fae
If you like brown dragons, Earth flight produces brown-eyed hatchlings.
Re: Pretty Dragons
And which flight is most aligned with the oriental-style dragons with the short legs and deer horns?

The free for good homes dragons you listed is most likely exalted as it's long time ago they were posted.
For free dragons check out show and sell. Usually the dragons Lorelei show off are free. Just read her posts which has info.

Re: Pretty Dragons
Welcome to the game. Check out the fairgrounds to play games that will earn you treasure to buy stuff with. You can play higher or lower every hour, and the other games cap at 75k a day. Auction house and marketplace have tons of neat stuff to buy once you have some treasure under your belt. And don't forget to incubate your nests so you can hatch baby dragons.

Re: Pretty Dragons
Welcome, Aliandrin! I just started a few months ago myself.
As was already said, play Glimmer and Gloom every day for 75,000 treasure (Maria has a guide on her FR page), and I highly recommend getting a Mire Flyer coliseum trainer as soon as you can. The Light flight should have a program in their flight forum to loan out fully statted level 25 dragons, or a way to help new members to make their own. You can use a Mire Flyer to train fodder to exalt for treasure (buy as low as possible, exalt around level 7) and solo farm just about everything up to the Mire level in the coliseum. This is a great way to make treasure and gems without buying any gems.

Re: Pretty Dragons
Using the advice above, I have discovered it's not hard at all to get dragons.
Question though... Is eye type heritable? If it is I may invest in a pair of multigaze.

Re: Pretty Dragons
Eye type is random, but some can be applied with scrolls.
So you cant breed for eyes.
Aside from color, of course.

Siggy under construction!

Re: Pretty Dragons
Eye type is not heiritable. As Bowno said it's random and multi-gaze is a rare eye type so even when the parents has multi-gaze their hatchlings would have it very very rarely
Re: Pretty Dragons
I see a multigaze one I want that's cheap... But it's Gembond. I hate gembond. It's only 15,000.
I hate gembond so much.
So much.
...I'm getting it.

Re: Pretty Dragons
You can always put Smirch on it. Its only a 5-10,000 treasure gene
Re: Pretty Dragons
Yeah that's far better.
I also figured out that nobody much makes Earth dragons, so if I want any I had better make them myself. I think I'll use my free flight change and go to Earth.

Re: Pretty Dragons
One of us! After starting in nature, I switched to earth last year. Be sure to check the Show and Sell your Dragons thread--Lorelei regularly posts earth dragons and I hatched a clutch of earth imps this morning.
Re: Pretty Dragons
If you gave me a startup dragon (I think two people did) please PM me and I'll give it back. I am quitting.
Great game, horrible people play it. Worse than WoW.
I got a great impression from the Petopia people but in reality it turned out to be different.
