i used beast lore and it said tameable its the little one for the daily quest it says to kill 30 of them and i noticed they were beasts so i used beast lore and it said tameable with the rodent family abilities

Strange. I'm looking at them right now, and they are indeed beasts, but you can't beast lore them nor tame them. I had already done the quests for the week though, so maybe that's it? Checking with an alt.

EDIT: Nope, alt with the quests can't tame them either. Still beasts, but not able to be affected by beast lore.

It's possible that it was patched very quickly. Too quickly, even. Then again, these were active since yesterday. Perhaps elite is the only one who managed to nab them, since I don't see anyone freaking out on the secret finder discord about this either. Hopefully it's still available, but it's unlikely considering we can't just walk up and tame as previously stated.

They were briefly tamable yesterday and today, but have now since been fixed so that they can no longer be tamed.

Honestly, probably the only reason that it can be kept is because very few actually got it. If it had become a more widespread thing, like those pets from Legion, the actual pet itself may have been changed.

Looking into it, tamed Volatile Embersparks are no longer members of the Rodent family and belong to no family. They cannot be healed by Mend Pet.

Looks like they got the worgen treatment. That's honestly kind of funny, but also an indicator that no fun is allowed now. I wonder how the slime, the two larvae, and all the other remaining glitch models didn't get this treatment.

It is possible that, at the time, they didn't know how to or didn't consider altering the Slimes that were tamed. And maybe for others it was just because they were beasts and so it at least wasn't something that Hunters shouldn't have. Or it could just be a decision made for no particular reason.

I'm just amazed that they'll immediately fix a fun tame, but Maelie is still missing for everyone on NA servers for two days so far.

I believe it was originally an unused mawrat NPC, which someone repurposed to be an elemental but forgot to change the type and remove the pet data.

It was fun for a very short period of time, but it's not a hunter thing and it was never going to last.

Can't fix Maelie, but they can hotfix a few accidentally tameable rock boys before more than 5 people realize they're tameable. Lol.
