TWENTY-FIVE! Pet planning grid and stable sharing.

I have a lot of blank spots on mine... That's ok, that's just that many more pets I can get in Cataclysm! Many of these likely won't be used, but they're pets I feel an attachment to.

Apollyon, Dante, Shikon, Skaza, Rainey, Tama, Tetsusaiga, Sheldon, Blaze (but I also love the white skin, so not sure which one I'd rather have), Okkoto, Abaddon, unnamed red warpstalker (hope we get that skin), unnamed fox (not sure I like them a lot, so that one's iffy), Surge, unnamed tallstrider, unnamed white tiger (if it's available to more than just night elves), unnamed silithid wasp (hoping we get them because they're the only wasp models I like). Then that last square is pretty self-explanatory. Gimme a thunder lizard!!! /begs

Well, speaking of the buff and debuffs the pets might fill.. take a look at this chart.. each row might have a pet that provides that specific buff/debuff. If we can really fill that sort of utility, it might be quite nice.

Goodness. I actually had to go through to figure out what pets I would get to fill that many spaces! xD
I'm reserving a few spaces for pets we might see down the line. (Have my fingers crossed for a mastiff.)

Hmm well here are mine. Of course subject to change once Cata comes out, and once we know more about what pets are coming out, and what are getting retired. Sasreis stables.. I filled pretty fast but they are subject to change as well as Saons. Im jsut excited about the possibilities and realized.. I am making a worgen hunter come Cata cause even with 25 stable slots.. is there really ever enough? Saon can have whatever ones she wants since she doesnt raid but Sasrei is my raider so I have a more diverse stable for raiding but we will see ^.^

Another pair of hunters with alot of stable room available.

On the Horde side this is Nalin's planned stable:



The white bear and snow leopard are the pets I mainly use while out in the field. The hydra and slime are just vanity pets. With Cata I'll add the white riding tiger, the black mastiff (or the Mountain Mastiff since in one of the posts its fur is said to change colors), and if its confirmed in Beta that the Ghost Saber will become an extinct species I'll add to the stable.

On the Alliance side this is Nonn's planned stable:



The white bear is the pet I mainly use out in the field. And the wolf for dungeons. (Which I know will be changing.) Now just like the Ghost Saber, if Echeyakee goes extinct I'll add him to the stable with the Ghost Saber, (yes I know Sian-Rotem shares Echey's skin but not many people do the quest to have him summoned so Echey is the easiest of the two.) And then I'll round out the stable with a black fox, black or Mountain Mastiff, and the riding tiger.

For my future worgen, human, and goblin hunter they'll basically follow Nonn's stable lay out.

Now I might actually add more to this because I vaguely remember that more spirit beasts were supposed to be roaming around Azeroth. And if they peek my interest I may stalk them until I get them. But if not, and there's nothing else that interests me, that's how my hunters' stables will look.

I think I'll wait, so far my current Hunters have all the pets they want, and I want to figure out the personnalities of my soon to be toons (my current placeholders). Also I want to avoid joining the flavour of the month club

(but that doesn't mean I'm not pouring over all the new info, and making a "want list")

Here's mine. Obviously a lot of space is still open. The color I ultimately pick for some of these pets may change, but for now I'm happy with this.

Edit: I added Snarler to my chart as well, he's not in the picture here but he is on the updated one saved to my computer.

oh theres so much to tame unfortantly with so many stable slots it's seems that blizz is probably just giveing 20 out this expansion and leaveing it at that, so i'll try a reserve my stables for more future expansion pets, sorry if i'm bugging anyone i'm just trrying to make a point, for sure going to tame a wolf though.

I'm still planning mine, but after doing some looking something dawned on me: there are 32 species tamable,7 of which are exotic. We have enough slots for all non exotics. Now I know most people have a beast master spec (at least from what I've seen), but I'm not planning on using one*. So at least I know I can start by picking one from every family (well may have to skip one family want a fox and a mastiff).


*Skip this if you don't want life story: I will likely eventually replace some pets with exotics and take a bm second spec, but I want to try something else out(namely survival). Also I know bm is usually best for leveling, but I'm teaming up with a friend playing a feral druid, so feel less inclined to level by using a tanking pet.

EDIT: Added my grid. The last two are the green deepsea crab, and the green blue cataclysm crocolisk paint wasn't a fan of these images.

Its really an amazing change
I have planned which pets i shall have on my hunter... eventhough i dont play wow anymore ^^.. but that migth change with cata.. looks exiting
Anyway.. here u go : i reserved the last spots for new cats etc that migth come in cata

For so far this is my choice.The first 5 are the pest I already have.From 6 to 12 are the beast I really want to tame.The other beast can be replaced.

Gah theres too many choices! 11 Cunning families, 11 Ferocity Families, 10 Tenacious Families, and only 25 slots... It saddens me that I'll have to leave some out, cause they all have so much personality, and things my change from different skins and new families. Till I get a chance to mess with photo shop again, I guess I'll have to wait to post my all choices, but heres a few:

This is just an initial pass, just to see what I've got so far....not totally sold on the dragonhawk yet either. There will be a fox/monkey, but I haven't chosen colors yet. Also, I may yet change my choice of crab....unsure.



So much room to tame! I'm just holding out on actually seeing these lil' guys/gals and their abilities before I go scouting.
