9.2 PTR Beast Thread
Re: 9.2 PTR Beast Thread
I'm off work today, but will be working tomorrow. So that means it'll be released tomorrow, since builds are always released when I'm at work

Check out our tame suggestion list first:
https://www.wow-petopia.com/tamecheck.php
Feel free to suggest additions. Your candidate must be currently untameable but attackable and won’t cause a big disruption if it suddenly becomes tameable.

Also plant hydras as hydras.
Times banned from World of Warcraft: 1
Reason for ban: Reporting an item duplication exploit with Pet Battles I accidentally found during Mists of Pandaria. 3 week duration.

Re: 9.2 PTR Beast Thread
I agree with adding the Spawn of G'huun on the list, though I don't expect that it'll actually be made tameable until the next xpac.WerebearGuy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 1:44 pm My only suggestion for that list is to add Spawn of G'huun as a blood beast suggestion. It's an unused model for pets, but it'd be the most challenging tame since right now, mythic Uldir is not exactly easy. That, and doing G'huun wrong is a very fast wipe. You'd need to do G'huun wrong and survive long enough to tame it. Would be a nice addition to the fairly empty blood beast family.

We need more plant creatures, maybe a nature’s fury cat, they’re natural enough besides the Druid marking on the sideWerebearGuy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 1:44 pm My only suggestion for that list is to add Spawn of G'huun as a blood beast suggestion. There was a bear one, a dog... They'd make for neat undead tames.

Tameable druids and shapeshifters will likely never happen, unfortunately. We could tame the wicker bears on BfA's beta, but that got removed before launch.

Re: 9.2 PTR Beast Thread
Wicker beasts and plant beasts are different, mandragoras would need some more plant friends before they become tameable, wicker beasts need their own tome, and maybe add npcs for the stag and wicker hawk(humble flyer version)WerebearGuy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 6:02 pm They're currently on the list of untameable models, but they're all people that think they're animals. Kind of like druids, but the kind that would go to weird conventions rather than work as nature conservationists. Well, all the ones I can recall are cursed people. I think maybe two are actually cursed animals, but I'm almost positive that the overwhelming majority are people. That hasn't stopped Blizzard from letting us tame druid models and skins before (owlcats, some travel forms, two flight forms, and maybe a cat form I think).

Agreed. Those that look like constucts contain the souls of people or animals. Those that look like a melding of animal, plant, and bones are animals that are unique to the area. I can only recall one which is a corrupt druid, which also happens to be a rare.

Re: 9.2 PTR Beast Thread
They are intentionally not supposed to look finished. They are basically the concepts of things that we have seen in the Shadowlands.Clayford13 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 2:26 pm The new wolves look awesome but not finished? Or is that the look they are going for....? lol. Lots of sightings though and I really hope the birds of prey and snails are tamable!!
