I hate how rare the frogs are. Searched for 2 hours and didn't find any lol.

Also, can confirm the blood serpents were not stealth made tameable lol.

I resurrected the pre-patch guide, now we have pre-patch tameables:

For one whole week lol. Still, good to see it up again. Though, you should edit Man-Eater's notes to make mention that it comes from Havenswood too. After all, that's where I found it when I reported it.

If you're just looking to tame the pets in the island expeditions and you don't feel like running around the island, I found a faster way that helped me get the pets I wanted.

#showtooltip Eagle Eye
/use !Eagle Eye

I used the above macro for eagle eye to scout out the entire island while spamming a /tar macro I had made. The macro will allow you to use eagle eye from the location you previously cast eagle eye on so you can just chain cast eagle eye and move around the island. You can even use eagle eye before the gate to the ship is down, you just need to aim eagle eye off to the right or left side of the gate. Most of the time I was done scouting the island before the gate even opened.

Six days remain, get hyped. Still no clue how to tame Aradan, but the puzzle will be solved in time. I've also yet to find Whiptongue or Yaz'za after hundreds of islands. Wonder if these two can spawn currently or if they'll appear on other islands. Man-Eater has me thinking all frogs can spawn when any frog can spawn, but it's been the only outlier so far.

Found Yaz'za on Havenswood after like 700 resets (god help me), and it keeps its name when tamed. My theory is feeling foolproof now; any of the named loa toads can spawn in Havenswood.

Also worth note; if you complete one of the islands, the other two are the only ones that can pop up until you do another island. I completed Crestfall, and I've only been getting Havenswood and Whispering Reef all day ever since. This DRASTICALLY shortened the island grind, with the fun side effect of making me go crazy trying to find the last few frogs lol.

I don't remember seeing anyone mention it, but both Gol'kun the Vicious and Dampfur the Musky can definitely be tamed in the Crestfall island expedition. Petopia says "except maybe Crestfall and Snowblossom Village" but I ran across (and tamed) both of them yesterday while doing some expeditions with friends.

Now if only Bloodscent the Tracker, the one I actually wanted had appeared.

You’ll get bloodscent eventually, I know it. Once I’m back home and can play wow I’ll try taming either ripshread or Dampfur the musky depending on which spawns first, they both look great with an orc, those island tames will be a rough hunt but I’ll get them before I know it

I was able to tame all of the new Island Expeditions wolves except for Ripshred. I guess my luck is just bad (or good depending on how you see it), 'cause I know it can spawn on whatever island wolves can spawn on. Maybe eventually I'll get him. 🤠

Some last minute things from the Dalaran intro quests, only during the "Breach" quest:
1. Small Threadling uses all four color variations of the "Threadling w/ No Mandibles" models. This means all four versions of that model are available.
2. Rampaging Threadling uses all four color variations of the "Threadling w/ Short Mandibles" models.
3. Pestilent Drone uses all four color variations of the "Swarmite w/ Fangs & Short Tail" model. Blood Beasts can't be tamed on beta, sadly.
4. Drone Bomber uses all four color variations of the "Swarmite w/ Proboscis & Long Tail" model, but is high up in the sky. You need to tag it and get it to come down to you, but they're almost always out of range. They have HORRENDOUSLY low HP, so they die fast.
5. Drone Abductor uses all four color variations of the "Swarmite w/ Proboscis & Long Tail" model, but is mistakenly classified as Humanoid.

Once you complete the "Breach" quest, these mobs are no longer available to be attacked or tamed. These will be very difficult to tame, as everyone and their mother will be blowing up any spiders that make the horrible mistake of being attackable during this specific intro quest. If you want these looks, you had best be quick. Small Threadlings are the only looks for three of the "Threadling w/ No Mandibles" looks. Everything else is available later in Azj-Kahet if you miss them here.

Wow, thanks for these! Are these already live? Or have the intro quests appeared on the beta now?

Intro quests have been on beta since they had us test it that one day. They're on the live database, so everything is ready, but the quests won't unlock until early access starts.

Whiptongue was found by Allistar the Hunter over on the Secret Finders Discord. Whiptongue was found in Verdant Wilds.

EDIT: I'm going to confirm this an hour later as I just found Whiptongue as well in the same island. Keeps its name when tamed. I also found both yellow loa toads and Colossal Spadefoot (Still doesn't retain its name) here as well. Verdant Wilds has so many spots that toads can spawn, my goodness.

Thanks again for your reports on the intro tames. Unfortunately I've done nothing but updating Warcraft Mounts stuff these past few days and I've only just caught up 😰

It's 4 am here (thankfully not working today!) and I'll have to look at them later in the day, by which time the early access will have already begun. Fortunately, it looks like only two threadlings without any mandibles are unique tames and hopefully they'll add more later. (I actually kinda feel like the ones lacking mandibles weren't meant to be a thing and they should probably all have mandibles. They look a bit weird without any mouth parts and you can see depressions where they were meant to connect, but apparently they're going to remain!)

Taming them is going to be a nightmare though, what with everyone rushing and nuking everything down. Either we'll need to be lucky and get a dead phase (please dear god), or we can just patiently wait and quest sync with a lower level like we could for Shadowlands' intro.

I just came back from my vacation and here’s my recap of my tames

- tamed both fetid and living Grong
- found ripshread on my second island, tamed
- found gol’kun on my 4th island, didn’t tame
- found toxinbelly croaker in 6th island
Never expected to tame these so fast. Well. Off to TWW
