Do not know if it was already mentioned, but the creatures are not level scaling to the player. Went in on live yesterday and tamed a handful of things in the starting zone.

Flew down to Hollowfell for one of the black lynx and it was level 75 and untameable at player level 70. https://www.wow-petopia.com/npc.php?id=229620

That's common on the first player through, and then they scale with later ones. Whatever that system is called...

The leveling scaling system was introduced in BFA or shadowlands, I’m just going to leave it at Threads of Fate, since my hunter is my first character I have to wait for certain levels to tame certain pets

They let the Murkfur Pup stay with Wain/Val/Aro afaik so maybe they'll leave these too

I think they should let us keep unintended tames. We should be allowed to keep unclassified tames in their own family called unclassified, and the only abilities they have is basic attack, taunt and dash. I understand blizzard’s move to let unusual things disappear or change. I still miss my unintended firehawk, and fog beast. I remember as far back as when hunters had an unintended elemental tame which looks like a shaman’s primal minion and a unintended green dreadstalker in the hound family during shadowlands beta
If old hunters can keep their slime, I should also have some random unintended creature flagged as unclassified

It's the Highland Hatchling. In my (somewhat limited) search, it may be a single mob that spawns with this appearance. I've found two other variants so far, waiting to see if it spawns in all possible colors. It shares its name with a critter. I haven't encountered it anywhere else in the zone.

This may be OT, and I apologize if so, but what creatures does the elusive bait for war within draw? Anything tameable?

Just tamed the green with blue eyes and the purple with blue eyes. Frilled and unfrilled.

Nice find! Out of all the new tames this expansion this one made me the most excited, so I rushed over to try and find it. I found it in Azj-Kahet, near a rare spawn named "Ahg'zagall" and have tamed it myself. This beast is fairly unique to spawn & tame though.

When looking at the map & hovering over the area, the location name is "Lightless Channels" - coordinates are 38, 43 - within the entire cave there you can find several of the worms around.

To spawn them, simply run around the cave and keep jumping, this will cause a bar to appear - a sort of motion meter called "Tremorsense" (unique for this area it seems), which when filled all the way can aggro nearby creatures and make these worms visible. It is named "Chasm maker", which you can find several of them buried around in the ground, which will at first seem like dust/dirt clouds, until you are close enough to them. The minimum level to tame seems to be 78 as they are all level 80.

Chasm maker shares the same model as Ahg'zagall, however Ahg'zagall is not tameable. From what I can tell the two beasts are not related/nor impact each others spawn rate.

Hopefully we will be able to keep these tames and hopefully they do not change into something else in the future. Good luck to others who are interested in this tame!

Fun little fact: Plaguehart keeps the mushrooms on its body after the tame! :) I noticed it wasn't mentioned under its name

Plaguehart is such a good find, wow. Had to struggle to find him though, since it looks like he has a few spawn points. I'm not exactly keen on this color of uglycorn, but I can make do since the fungal growths are eye catching.

I’m definitely taming this one. This may not be my favorite shalehorn color, but it will do

Yeah, I'm in agreement with the color, but disregarding that, I think he's a fun guy.

Nvm wrong ones.
