Fun little fact: Plaguehart keeps the mushrooms on its body after the tame! I noticed it wasn't mentioned under its name
Wait, really? I tamed him on the beta and I'm sure they disappeared!
That's a really awesome find!
I personally love all the shalehorn colours and wish there were more
I didn't add the baby salamanther or half a worm to our database because I thought they were fixed during the beta but somehow got missed. I was wrong, but I believe a fix is still in process so tame them quickly if you want them!

They're already not tameable anymore. Nvm, tried on the wrong npcs ><

Me too, the mushrooms are just the cherry on top

I just checked, and they are still tameable. You probably found the hatchlings near veneration grounds.
Oh? Which one are the tameable ones? I tried taming "highland hatchling," but wowhead only showed one location for them.
NvM, I found them, my bad. Now to hope I can get a pink one to spawn.

I've been busy care-taking my mother IRL and sadly missed out on hearing about these until now. I would love to know which salamander and 'half-worm' are tameable and their location? Hopefully I'll have time to tame them, if not, the information should help others.

Only two hatchlings spawn where I found them. They are in a spot in Hallowfell along a river below a bridge. If you see two of the hatchlings and two adult lizards you are in the right spot. I think it is around Meledar to the south and to the right. Not in game so I cant be sure the spot right this moment.
Half worm: https://www.wowhead.com/npc=214453/chasm-maker Have to jump around in the area near the rare spawn to make the tameabe ones spawn. If you do not have a bar measuring 'termorsense' in your ui you are in the wrong area.
Ah, wow. Where you can send babies to battle to the death against each other and sometimes against regular beasts (some legendary pets). But taming it as an ever faithful companion crosses the line.
I can't log in right now because the servers are apparently going nuts or something, but I saw a little thing yesterday evening that got me thinking. Down in Wildcamp Or'lay in Azj-Kahet, there's a little family of Mudnose Molerats; one parent and three pups. While we can't tame them as they're friendly, the pups should totally be using the critter model since one exists specifically for young molerats. Would be cute to swing by the camp every now and then to see the little pups be actual pups and not just scaled down models.
I've also grown fond of the green one I tamed. Named the fella Gnawty. No screenshot because again, servers not working right now.

Noticed a bit of an oddity with the tameable eel (y'know, other than it being tameable XD). While it appears as the Red model, its portrait in the UI/when you target it uses the Rose Gold coloration...it even uses that coloration when it appears on your character select login screen.

I never mentioned it, but just like Magna says, it has the rose gold portrait meaning, it’s a rose gold eel keeping its red aura when tamed, hence why the teeth match the body color
