I am not sure...I just tamed two and noticed that they were different looking.

But I wish they'd added more, rather than try to concentrate the looks onto one NPC. Perhaps I'm too particular about it, but it really annoys me when a named, singular NPC, comes in multiple looks for no reason. Like, imagine if Anduin just showed up with pale skin, red hair and a moustache in one quest, and in the next he has brown skin with blonde hair and a beard, and the next he's tanned with grey hair and clean shaven. For no reason. It would have been better if the hammer worked on a bunch of rooks in the instance, or something.
I agree. They could’ve made it so that you can tame all Stormrooks, including Kyrioss.

As soon as I saw this, I did it, and I managed to tame 1.

But when I wanted to get the second one there is no way...

I go in, kill the mobs, the boss, go down, and there is no way to make him land, it gives = when I cast the hammer...

Aradan did not land, I have tried everything to free all the mobs from the fall, kill all the congeners and nothing, what I don't understand is how I tamed him the first time and now I can't repeat it...

Oh no :( It seems to be working for other people, so maybe your second instance just glitched?

Aradan's 5 looks are now in the database (along with a handful of unused colours, for reference):

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the hunt for this spirit beast. While one person found the hammer and got credit, many people worked very hard and contributed a lot to the effort!

I kind of like that purple one.

Though the page makes him look a bit like a storm pigeon instead of a rook.

I made the first dungeon and tamed him.

I went out and put Aradan as a secondary pet for BM.

I made 3 more dungeons and Aradan didn't land.

I removed Aradan as a secondary pet and put Biryuk in, I made a new dungeon, I cleaned it and Aradan landed without problems...

Can it cause any conflict if he is a secondary pet?

Oh wow! You may be onto something. Can anyone else confirm that Aradan doesn’t land if you already have one out?

That shouldn’t happen because as far as I know pets these days don’t retain any pre-tame info or properties except their display ID. But I’m curious if it might be the case anyway.

The other thing to test is if it’s the pet’s name that is interfering with code (again, should never happen but who knows?)

I believe the dev who make the secret is looking into that issue.

Great, thanks for letting us know!

Out of interest, do you know who the dev is, and if they have reported this on social media somewhere? I'd like to follow them.

I tested last night, it must be fringe cases causing this glitch. I was able to summon him down multiple times even with him as main pet and active with his name unchanged. I think it was only mentioned in the secret finders discord by the dev after a few instances popped up where he wasn’t able to be tamed (comments on wowhead or the discord chat)

The Dark Swarm is always looking for new faces! (Alliance/ Azuremyst based, cross- faction & cross- server friendly!)

Valnaaros wrote: Thu Sep 12, 2024 5:35 pm It is entirely possible that someone just figured it out or stumbled onto it, and it is still also possible that someone tamed Aradan in an unintended way, like Nah'qi. I am leaning toward the latter since if you did tame it in the intended way of doing so, then you shouldn't be against saying how you tamed it. If you are just a rather shy person, posting a picture of you solving the secret of something that has a fairly good amount of focus in the community would just get you a ton of attention and/or harassment.
Could just be the person didn't want to share / liked the exclusivity. The person who posted the SS saw it, they didn't tame it themselves. I just don't think it's right to witchhunt someone on it just yet.
That person never logged back in apparently.

It's entirely possible that person was just one of the devs. Yes, a single dev worked on Aradan from what we know, but that doesn't mean their co-workers wouldn't know too.

That said, the person who found it wasn't even looking for it. Nothing to say that didn't happen with another person too.
