Patch 11.0.7 New possible pets?

Hi everyone! Blizzard just announced a new zone for 11.0.7 patch AND there is a wind Wyverns (Grand Wyvern models)

Just watched the video and kept pausing/zooming in to spot any wild critters. I saw;
- Black Spider Crab w/ Blue Luminescence (old model)
- Grand Wyvern (almost guaranteed tameable, since they're so numerous)
- Steel-Armoured boar at 0:59 (bottom left, under the platform, not sure if it's a new texture/combo)
- Possible new krolusk skin (Background screen when Katie Grace is talking)
- Blue mount model parrot (probably just an NPC mount, but here's hoping for a pet version)
- Albatross (old model, not sure on texture since I don't care about them)
- Diamond Hermit Crab w/ Algal Shell (New hermit crab combo!)
- Red & Black Hawk (seen several times)
- Black Thunder Hydra
Not a whole lot to look forward to pet-wise, at least with this sneak peak. The grand wyvern is a wonderful addition though, because IT'S ABOUT TIME.

Very excited for the patch. Looks like a nice addition to the game thats not a "major" update.

The steel boar is new and uses this new look combo

I hope there are more new combos, this would be a great opportunity for the copper armored boars to shine

This would also be a great opportunity to branch wind riders and slyverns into a new family and add Razorwings, making a solid wyvern family

To get to Siren Isle, go into Dornogal and go where Khadgar was in the portal room. There's a new NPC named Dawn who puts you on the trail to Siren Isle.

Confirmed tames, updating as I go along:
- Cliffreach Pridetalon (Grand Wyvern, Feathermane)
- Cliffreach Matriarch (Ditto)
- Sirentusk (Boar, many alt skins, two new skins)
- Sirentusk Piglet (Boar, nothing special)
- Seafether Albatross (Albatross, BfA skin)
- Stormfeather Falcon (falcon from BfA, two skins, can't identify offhand but they're old skins)
- Tidal Sandskitter (Crab, several reused skins)
- Sandsifting Hardshell (Hermit Crab, probably 6-7 skins. At least one new skin)

I can't identify some of the skins, mainly because my internet's hot garbage today and images on most sites are barely loading, so someone else will need to fact check the falcons and hermit crabs. The falcons are near where you start on the island, and the hermit crabs are underwater south of where you start.

Yes, the hermit crab is new. The crab itself is a new variant entirely.

Ah, then neat. Either way, this seems like everything, unless the weekly changes from Naga to Vrykrul to whatever the third is introduces more beasts. Really small island.

I just tamed a new wyvern. Unlike it's hornless classic cousins, these wyverns stand and run on the ground. it doesnt do the sideways head movement like wolfhawks which have the same skeleton. I'll update you with more news about wyverns. also a new source of the baby wind rider model for both factions

Edit - their heads still move side to side constantly but it also still faces forward half the time

Apparently there's a boar named Ghostmaker with glowing red eyes, posted in the secret finder discord, but I didn't see it when I was scouting. Anyway, that island is depressingly small and I don't really wanna be there any longer. Already sick of it faster than I was with other island filler patches lol

Ghostmaker spawns periodically in Tempest’s Crest. Not tamable.

The new hermit crab might be a texture error. It doesn’t look right. However, I did find that the hermit crab used the teal with algae shell variant, which is new.

Ah, so that crab might be an error. Hopefully our lurker can work their magic and keep it in, because I kind of like the mottled skin. Crabs needed a new look.

The shell texture is being displaced as the body texture and Vice Versa. Its shell is the green-spotted teal shell.

And yes, that crab is definitely buggy. That's the spotted shell texture over its body, making it look janky.

There is a special phase of the island where you can see it. There are also spectral Wyverns and a wyvern that uses the old ghost wyvern model.

Wowhead's database lists a tameable winter veil reindeer, in both red- and black-nosed variants! Let's hope it's real!
