Trying to find a particular cat pet...

Unread post by Ligress »

So there's a cat I've been seeing around, but isn't listed anywhere I could find on Petopia, digging through the cat section as well as Rare/Unique sections. It has the coloration/stripes of a bengal tiger (orange/black stripes), and looks like a rockfang cat in overall shape, HOWEVER, instead of bony plates, it has a spiky tuft of fur rising off its shoulders. It has a scar over one(I think?) of its eyes and its eyes are smaller than those of the rockfangs.

Just hoping someone can help me figure out what pet that is and where to get it, cuz I love the look. I saw two other hunters with it, and theirs had two different names, none of which allowed me to find it via a Wowhead search, so I don't know if it's a rare spawn, but given the scar, I would think so.

Any help is appreciated!

I already know for a fact spirit beasts will outperform clefthooves in both keeping aggro and keeping you alive. First of all when speccing a spirit beast into ferocity, it has the small leech buff, on top of that you have that on demand heal button as opposed to clefthooves having extra armor and having a buff to taking mend pet or leech. Stone hounds will also be good to switch into ferocity. They are a triggered defense pet like clefthooves, but it’s only 40% damage reduction, but on top of that it heals 3% of its max health during the defense duration, and it has a instant rez button on top of that, pretty neat ay. I still say spirit beasts will be better and more fun to run with due to model variety, but I bet stone hounds will be amazing in high level delves soon

But I feel clefthooves would outperform spirit beast if we choose the single pet node instead of the two pet nodes because the clefthoof would benefit from blood of the rhino heal buff and the single pet node heal buff. Blood of the Rhino and the single pet 30% damage buff will amplify its leech. 12%+4.8%= 16.8% passive leech for the clefthoof, which is no joke.
