I added all the crab look combos (bomb and 'cave' crabs) to the rough guide:

Some really brilliant colour combos there. I hope more are made available!





I know the cave crabs aren't tameable yet, but no reason they shouldn't be!

BTW, if the look keys seem like they don't always match the actual colours, I know it's weird but it's not a bug. The look keys I use are based on the texture names, and in the case of the bomb crabs the textures are named for the bomb colours not the body colours (bomb and body textures are in the same file but rarely are the same colour). Like, 'crabbomb_red-red' has a blue body.

I haven't added the rat model yet, but I will tomorrow.

Man that's a lot of crab combos. I love it. Orange and Red bomb crab is the only tameable one as of right now, so hopefully they expand on that. Granted, that's the color combo I wanted the most, so I'm (currently) happy. I don't have much hope for the cave crabs since they're all tiny critters and battle pets right now, but if they're like the bomb crabs, they will definitely look fine when scaled up. Bet you're gonna have a fun time getting a good image of George, since those crystals aren't part of the model itself.

This is the crab patch. Screw goblins, it's all about the snip and the snap.

There are three other bomb crabs that are currently available that I'm aware of, they just can't be tamed yet.

Found a third tameable armored hyena in the quest "It's Worth a Shot"! It's listed as a Watchful Hyena. There's also some mechanical parrots that use the Feathers pet model (listed as B.I.R.D) and the Wonderwing 2.0 mount model (listed as Premium Surveillance B.I.R.D), but neither one is tameable.

The hyena is there whether you have the quest or not. The mechanical parrots have already been reported and, unfortunately, are only present during the quest campaign. Thank you, though, for keeping an eye out

Oops, I saw the purple armored and the yellow armored hyenas get found, didn't see the black....oh well!

So far the only available hyenas are the black armored beige and the yellow armored brown(the special quest tame). Hopefully they flag the new dungeon hyenas and crabs tameable soon enough so we can have more looks

That giant rat is a mount added back in Legion. Unfortunately, it isn't a complete model without the saddle. If the saddle is removed, there is a giant hole in its back. I believe that its tail is also connected to the saddle, so removing one removes the other.

My only wish, with all these crabs, is that they would change crabs' family ability from a channel to an instant like all other pet snares.

I agree; the channel sucks, the crab loses uptime on the target, blood beast is superior and will be the go to slow pet for survival with the 10 yd range, as chimaeras are superior with 30 yd range but they are BM only, crabs are a dead family lol

Yes, and the eagle only shows up for a few attacks. It isn’t a constant pet, as far as I know.

BM and Surv are losing Eagle Eye. MM is losing Eye of the Beast.

It's making me so sad because I've played MM with my crab since I started back in BC ;-;

Even though it doesn’t affect me, it’s sad for some people that marksmanship hunters won’t be able to use their pets, but many people received it well, the mm hunters that don’t use pets. I tested it, it was ok since I didn’t know which talents to pick, but lust, and pet specs are baked into the mm hunter themselves. I guess blizzard hates lone wolf

Karkinus from the Forbidden reach in Dragon Isles is tameable in 11.1!

Oh my gosh that is strange. I hope more interesting creatures are tameable, I checked a few and checked if normal skunks and folyas were tameable but no changes
