Of the new looks, what are you planning on taming? These are mine:

I especially love the green whipspider. Matches my main's transmog (green Saurokstalker base) so well!

All of the pets I want are Tenacity or Cunning and therefore are useless.

I love this system.

I'm sure I'll tame a few of the new ones, but it doesn't matter. They'll just sit in my stable while I use the 1/3 class that we're required to use.

I'm late to the party, as I just recently started playing again, but I thought others might also be making new tames, with the upcoming pet spec choice option!

I've actually tamed a lot:





standouts for me are the mudskipper animations, the gorgeous bees, and the teeny tiny sea slug--smaller than the matchy battle-pet! and yes, I know the snail is from Zaralek,
but I quit Dragonflight before that came out.

I thought about taming a panthara, but realized they're not really my style. unfortunately this lead to me browsing thru fairly recent new cat models, and I may be taming these over the weekend

Unfortunately most of the 'new' stuff just isn't my jam. I'll tame the green rat, maybe one of the other hues and that's likely it. I'm holding out hope that the Rootlands and the Arathi homeland has some fantastic new critters.

I really leaned into the hyena squad this patch, I just love these goggle dogs so much (especially since I can have a matching minipet and mount)

I really like the new hyena model and that white and purple one is by far my favourite!

I love we can make a goblin outfit to match, and that there's a matching minipet (some of the other minipet colours don't seem to be available yet).

It frustrates me that most of the the matching purple goblin weapons are only available through high-end pvp (wtf?) but at least the ranged one can be obtained from the new dungeon (kept running it but no luck so far!)

The black body red armored hyena is my favorite, the contrast with the black body, and the red and silver armor calls horde for me, and it’s the color scheme that pairs perfectly with horde colored armor and transmogs, I’m farming bilgewater rep for that particular hyena mount, the other colors also look great too

Something I only just realized in 11.1.5:

I can't find *any* Escaped Lynxes in east Hallowfall.

I'm hoping I just missed them because if true it means the *only* black & brown lynxes are gone in less than 12 hours.

That would put our net pet gain for the patch at negative one.

If you wanted a brown or black lynx: tame it immediately, just to be safe.

I only just noticed the alert. Blizzard wouldn't make ANOTHER pet in the same zone go extinct twice in one expansion, surely not...right? We'll find out in ~7 hours lol

I had someone reply that they had seen plenty of them on "AD", whatever that is. I asked if that was a 11.1.5 PTR server but haven't seen a reply. I'm really hoping I somehow missed them, or they have been moved and I also just missed them.

The only thing I can think of with "AD" is "Argent Dawn", but that's not a PTR server. With no servers available to check, we're probably not going to get a real answer until the patch goes live. Just gotta hope and pray.

I'm pissed off I didn't think to check this weeks ago. I just did this quick scan in my head, and thought "nothing in those areas is unique" and completely forgot the lynxes

I have full faith that they'll be restored at some stage. Just not sure how soon that is even possible. I imagine the devs are are full-throttle on 12.0 and 11.2 now.

Faith is nice, but they've not exactly given us reason to be faithful. I mean, the warp stalker is still missing despite people clearly wanting it back, as well as an extremely ancient ghost crocolisk STILL not being flagged tameable. Wain, go get hired by Blizzard so you can go flip the tame switch and put stuff into the game lol. Or get me in there, I already spend hours just looking at the same area over and over like a strict head maid looks for specks of dust in a cruel mansion lol.

Joke aside, I hope that it's just an oversight and the lynxes aren't actually gone.

With us returning to Quel'thalas in the next xpac, and most likely journeying to the Arathi Empire at some point, I am fairly certain that even if these ones aren't restored, that the variants will be available on new npcs.

Yeah, if we go to the Arathi Empire, that's where the lynxes would definitely be found. NOT in Quel'thalas though, as those are entirely different lynxes. Those need their own faithful updated model, not an unrelated species.
