Tiny pet rats in Undermine?
Hello, i've noticed a player with a tiny pet rat - about the size of a battle pet. I can't seem to be able to find them anywhere, when i tame the undermine rats they become much bigger (on vulpera / goblin, so i doubt its a gnome-only thing).
Is anyone here aware of where to find them? I would appreciate the help a ton!

My guildie and I figured out that the rats appear differently to other players. The rats you can tame will look this small to other people, but to you they will appear large. And these tiny rats you see others running around with, they'll look like normal large rats to the hunter who tamed them.
I'm not sure why the rats specifically have this behaviour, I know Warlock demons have some client-side visual where they'll show up smaller to other players (maybe to reduce clutter), but I don't remember hunter pets having it to this drastic of a degree.
Anyways, I'm sorry to say that you'll never see your own pet rats being that tiny, but they will look like that to others.

Confirming what Veph said. A friend and I were taming all sorts of random things we found on the database for fun, and pets absolutely scale differently per viewer. The smaller the pet is normally, the smaller it scales for other viewers. For example, Aqiri using the Kunchong model (or similar) almost stay 1:1 in size, but little things like Gromits (hoppers) and Maw Rats (rodent) scale down quite a bit more. I assume they did this so that your pets feel more special from your own point of view.
I would love it if we had a way to scale our own pets down and a way to disable this mechanic, because in some cases a tiny pet is spectacular while other times you want your baby to be the size of a Flemish rabbit.

For a while I wondered why all the tamed cloudrooks and stormrooks tamed by other players were super small and the size of a large dog, when I summoned my stormrook, it was as large as a horse, I wish the grand wyverns were that big, but I’ve also seen smaller rats and aqiri around, this used to be done normally on raids, but now it’s the new norm in the normal world, others pets are basically the same size as a pet with the glyph of lesser proportion
