Re: Patch 11.1.7
- 1000 new pets
- 12 new pet families with unique taming books/spells
- A new spirit beast
- Unlocked Harronir allied race with cool new bat models as their starting pet
- A new Alchemy item that lets you turn NPCs into any other type of NPC (Humanoid to beast, for example)
- A new unintended pet model that will be rapidly patched out unlike the two we still have from 11.0
Excessive sarcasm aside, 11.1.7 actually does have potential for new content since it'll probably have story progression leading up to 11.2. Here's hoping we get something this time and not another super delayed and staggered nothingburger like 11.1.5.

Re: Patch 11.1.7
Edit - just saw the name, it’s Legacy of Arathor
Re: Patch 11.1.7
Patch 11.1.5 already gave us the "repetitive gameplay system intended to keep players occupied until real content arrives, but is so broken that everyone just ends up more frustrated than if they were bored" that all expansions are obliged to have at least one, if not two, of. Hopefully we don't see another in 11.1.7.

Re: Patch 11.1.7
I guess it is possible, but I wouldn’t count on it. The only thing that has anything to do with Pandaria in regards to Lorewalking is Lorewalker Cho. The three stories are about Xal’atath, the Lich King, and the Ethereals.

Because you have regular, then BFA, now the new one. Will we lose out on any rares I wonder? Maybe I should camp for the last of the rare drops before it gets more populated.

Re: Patch 11.1.7
The lynxes definitely came from the northern half of eastern kingdoms where the elves lived, they definitely kept lynxes as a symbol of their elven heritage

Re: Patch 11.1.7
That's possible, but there also could be lynxes native to where the Arathi Empire currently is. Even so, the modern Arathi in the Arathi Highlands do not have lynxes.

umm no, lore wise Lynxes are part of the Amani empire heritage; one of the few things highborn stole from forest trolls besides dragonhawks and amani lands which is now the colonise territories under the rule of blood elves. The amani clearly uses Lynx and as always colonising powers always steal from the natives and appropriated their culture.

Re: Patch 11.1.7
I think that is just speculation. Searching the Warcraft Wiki doesn't suggest any of that. There is speculation that the lynxes found in Quel'thalas are descended from Nightsabers that the Highborne took with them from Kalimdor when they went to the Eastern Kingdoms. There isn't anything that suggests that the Highborne stole the lynx from the Forest Trolls. Just because the Amani have a Lynx Loa and hunt with lynx doesn't mean that the lynx were originally theirs.Bunny._.Harvestman wrote: ↑Fri May 16, 2025 11:47 pmumm no, lore wise Lynxes are part of the Amani empire heritage; one of the few things highborn stole from forest trolls besides dragonhawks and amani lands which is now the colonise territories under the rule of blood elves. If the Arathi Empire in Arathi Highlands still has or once had lynxes, the upcoming patch would've been the time to show that whether it is by some dialogue tidbit or just adding lynx in. Since they didn't, and based off of a bit of lore from a lynx battle pet, the Arathi Empire (the current one) did not start using lynx until they found them in their new homeland.
However, if there is any concrete lore that says otherwise, I'm happy to accept that.

Re: Patch 11.1.7
nah let me rp hating elf cause I wanna roll an amani troll in midnight lol. but I feel that Blizz would to scare to humanize Trolls of why they hated the high elves, the same way we only got evil drustvars when in fact kul tiran actually colonised their lands; both trolls and drustvars seemed to be justified in their hatred towards the people that wronged them.Valnaaros wrote: ↑Sat May 17, 2025 12:47 amI think that is just speculation. The lone surviving elf mage you help when you get there, mentions his lynx back home, wondering if it will remember him.
