Yes, it was patrolling a ways south of The Oasis, but can only be seen when Phase Diving.Jangalian wrote: ↑Fri Jun 20, 2025 10:46 amDo you remember where the Stalker was?Valnaaros wrote: ↑Thu Jun 19, 2025 6:10 pm I found that voidstalker last night. It is located in the phase dive version of K'aresh.
As for the Razorwings, I'm leaning toward them being placeholders for K'arrocs. The initial Eco-Domes are meant to be places that keep what remains of K'aresh's species alive. Yes, we do populate The Oasis later with beasts from Azeroth, but initially they are things from K'aresh. The name for one of the tamable Razorwings, Gore Beak, isn't very fitting for Razorwings since they don't have beaks. The purple ones in the same area are called Death Scavengers. Razorwings are predators, not scavengers.
Also, I wouldn't count on the Thorntails and Slatebacks in the domes to be tamable. They are meant to be all that remains of their species and are protected.

Here's the fox, in all its four colours.
I'm not sure if anyone posted pics of the purple one, yet. The textures for it are in the 11.2 database but it hasn't yet been added to the display ID table so I'm not sure if area devs are even aware of it (it just won't show up as an option for the model's appearance). Hopefully that'll be remedied soon!

It's also now linked from the menu on any Petopia site page.
It's still very rough at this stage, but at least you can see the looks.
Couple of notes:
- I haven't added those flying insectoids, but will wait and see what happens to them. None are currently tameable. I think they most closely resemble the mutant Nerubian from the Nerub'ar raid, so may never be intended to be tameable.
- I also haven't added that moth-spider thing. It's only used for one raid boss and it's actually half a model - at the stage it looks like that it's actually torn its abdomen off and is bleeding to death. Really gross. It also may, or may not, be sapient.

Re: Patch 11.2.0
- K'arrocs are awesome, even if they're too stupid to fly after being tamed.
- Thorntails don't interest me, but they're good models.
- Cosmic Rays had me giddy with excitement when I saw them; "Did they update the models?! No way!"
- Rugged Warp Stalkers are cool, but they need more colors. I'm not a fan of teal, and the void one is neat but not my thing either. Give me white!
- Cosmic Worms are awesome, and they're close enough to my dream of a tameable Spawn of G'huun that I'm happy. Getting that purple one is gonna be a pain.
- Void Creepers need to be changed to beasts, and I will keep F6 reporting them as such whenever I can.
- Slatebacks will most likely be made tameable soon(tm), and I hope the fawn and rusty blue colors are made available.
- Lapbugs were an oddball choice, but good on the one or two water strider enjoyers. Hope they get flagged soon too.

- fix the cosmic ray flying animation, it literally freezes mid run frame
- give me a purple green rugged warp stalker

That's not to say I dislike the slatebacks. Give me more alien deer and antelope, I say. Just that it looks "worse" than the badass uglycorns that were very clearly intended to look ugly. As for the snouts, I say we need more pug noses. We have a lot of long snouts on herbivores, but barely any short snouts.

I love the shalehorn model - they don't look 'pretty', they look a bit angry and strange, but in the best way.WerebearGuy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 8:59 am Man, looking at the shalehorns and slatebacks side by side, the latter looks incredibly unfinished and simplistic. I figured they would look different obviously since they're not the same creature, but the slatebacks look so... inorganic? It's like they're made of plastic with a simple texture slapped on top. In comparison, the shalehorn has tons of detail that doesn't detract from the overall aesthetic, has a more rugged form, and doesn't look like it's inorganic at all. I mean sure, it's an ugly as hell unicorn (and that's a good thing), but there's such a huge difference in quality here. I hope the slatebacks get a bit of TLC to make them look less like giant toys.

I'm not really fond of the new slatebacks, I'm afraid. They look sad and depressed. Which may be fair enough, given their world was smashed apart, but they look and act like a figure in a depression ad.
Re: Patch 11.2.0

I've now added that 'void flyer' model to our database and dubbed them "Void Swarmers", for want of a better generic name. It remains to be seen if they're intended to be beast-like or if they're too humanoid. They are a bit like that mutated Nerubian in Azj-Kahet, or like Outland flayers with wings. If they end up considered humanoid I'll probably remove them again.

Re: Patch 11.2.0
If they are added, it will likely be to an existing family like Blood Beasts or something. Blizz doesn't seem too keen on adding new pet families, seeing as they didn't add any at all with this xpac.Baihu wrote: ↑Tue Jun 24, 2025 4:50 am Sorry if this has been mentioned already, but what's the status on tameable devourers? Any possibility? I've been hoping for 'aberration taming' but 'devourer taming' is okay too (since Devourers are listed as aberrations but opening to the entire Aberration family seems less likely).

The last model update for crocs was what, Cataclysm??? They're a bit overdue, and I'd love to have my croc Crikey back in rotation.DannyGreen wrote: ↑Wed Jun 25, 2025 7:27 pm I'm hoping at some point we get the new crocodile models to from the plunderlord mount.
