Unless they remove the other potential models from it, Escaped Creature (230958) cannot be made tamable because it can also spawn as a Krolusk or a Shardhide.

I believe that Wain does have a list internally of things that need to be fixed and need to be made tamable. He just hasn't posted it.

I could've sworn I saw krolusks and shardhides, but I just couldn't find their IDs. Now that makes sense as to why lol. I took them off the list. As for him having an internal list, I just figured he was too busy to make a list like he usually did. If he is curating a list on his own, then hopefully I listed something he overlooked lol.

I agree, but I see them in the same category as wyverns and slyverns. They should probably have their own family, but feathermanes is better than nothing for now.

Well if we need quick corrections, they need to just make every beast tameable regardless if they have a family or not :P. Joke(?) aside, I do understand that there is urgency considering how fast Blizzard likes to churn out updates now. Hopefully the stuff listed is the only egregious content left to adjust.

I've just added all the 11.2 creatures (with looks that exist in our database) to Petopia. Huge thanks to Valnaaros for compiling all the data.

Please check out the patch page and let me know if anything looks incorrect:

(Mouse over a look - or click on it - to see the NPCs)

It looks like:
- one cosmic ray is still unavailable (teal & yellow, which is on the untameable Wastes Ray)
- two cosmic worms are unavailable (blue, and red - neither used at all?)
- no void creepers are tameable, but all looks are in game and could be flagged
- no lapbugs are tameable, and only one look (blue) is currently in game

Does that all look right?

All of those sound right. Though, I do want to put forward that they DID add an untameable worm. Or rather, they changed a critter into a beast AND gave it a family. The Invasive Wurm got overhauled several times, and its current iteration is just one step away from being tameable. They could either A) make it tameable as is despite the critter model (which does NOT look bad when scaled up, don't ask how I know), or B) make it tameable and give it one or both of the unused Cosmic Worm skins.

Day ?? of hoping for a brown Razorwing. I realized these last few days they are the closest thing we are getting for an actual wyvern hunter pet, think about it, it’s a flying reptilian that slightly resembles a weird dragon, it has wings on its arms and has spines and plated armor, I’m talking wyvern as the dragon creature not wows wyverns(wind riders)

Just for some friendly antagonism, we've already had flying reptilian wyverns for about seven years now. People think I'm crazy, but these are literally wyverns. They match the description every time lol. Also seconding the hope for more Razorwing colors. We've had a taste, now we need the full course meal!

Don’t forget the Deathrocs from maldraxxus, they don’t look like any bird I’ve seen, they look like a undead proto-drake or velocidrake more than anything

Also the pterrodax are exotic so no scaly flying wyvern there.

A new build dropped this week, of course many things have still not changed, hopefully the next build

On a positive note, cosmic rays don’t freeze mid animation, but also received a new idle animation and a flying animation that sways slightly to the left and right

Razorwings in korthia are still untameable, both gore beak and Sha’ryth still use red, and they still lack an attack animation

Yeah, nothing new, but at least we got quite a few new things coming!

I'm glad they fixed the cosmic ray animation, but was hoping for a razorwing attack fix too.

It's good that the rays got fixed, but there's still a lot left to do for pets. We're due a big pet build anyway. Surely they'll surprise us before launch!

Everything else is basically 80% done. It’s just the remaining razorwings and the attack fix, void creeper tameability, and some reclassifications. The second npc that uses the purple void worm color should switch to red or blue. Still frustrated devourers haven’t been touched along with void hounds since it’s the perfect patch for those, but I see those also coming in midnight since this patch is a bridge going in to midnight

Purple fits better with the second worm because of the nature of the questline. You feed the worm Void energy and eventually summon it a lot of Void energy, so it being the purple one makes sense.

I like the ray update overall, but part of me wants to be really nitpicky about them having visible pupils. I definitely prefer the inscrutable, blank, glowing eyes of the originals, the multiple rows of teeth inside the mouth, and the snarling look, like their lips are pulled back to expose the gums. I don't think they actually had lips, but it's a neat little visual detail that these new ones lack. Something's just kinda... off. Missing, I guess. Maybe it's just my nostalgia.
