There isn't really a swarm of K'arrocs. They are single mobs that fly very high up and can only be attacked in a few specific areas where there is a hill high enough to shoot one. Occasionally two might cross paths, but there aren't large groups of them that are attackable.
Then i'll strip down and fist fight one. ONE OF THEM WILL TAKE ME DOWN!

But on the whole, story spoiler. I guess that's aight then.
Kinda, makes me wish we had been doin the same thing on our own planet for a while since the whole, deathwing, thing.
But I'm still huffin that time skip copium.

Now I’m done with mounts (took a lot of time) I’m back to adjusting pet stuff before release.

I’ve added the two phase-lost looks:

I also updated the page logo because when I first created it I unfortunately chose some appearances that turned out to be unavailable (they seemed likely at the time).

Last thing I need to do is add some more NPCs to the database, but none with any significant looks.

If anyone is interested, here’s the 11.2 mounts guide:

https://www.warcraftmounts.com/patch11.2.0.php

The hunter guide has both matching mounts and minipets listed at the bottom. The mount guide has matching minipets as well.

The PTR just updated and it looks like a release candidate. I don’t want to repeat too many same things, so I’m just going to say you all know the drill

So I went to tame a Razorwing as soon as the servers were up. It looks like a hotfix was deployed and they are now not tamable.

It really sucks 😣 I was looking forward to finally taming razorwings and I know I’m not alone in that. It’s probably not too surprising in a patch where they’re struggling to fix bugs that they’d just undo stuff rather than fix it. A real shame, though. Especially when there are other models that were prime pet candidates that were left untameable too.

What's funny is that the Razorwings' animations got fixed. I don't see them T-posing anymore lol. One step forward, a thousand steps back.

So, Blizzard clearly dropped the ball with pets (again), but they can redeem themselves if they give us an oil or something like they did with the oil and yellow stuff. The phase diving effect somehow persisted on my companion lol. They gave us Ethereal glamour, so the least they could do (other than give us more pets, obviously) is to add an easily collected item that lets us put our pet in phase diving for an hour.

The “dropping the ball” for some pet opportunities is, I think, due to the staff working on 11.2 not being pet people, and the few that are concerned with hunter pets having to drag themselves away from urgent 12.0 duties to check over k’aresh stuff.

I really like your idea of purchasable effects for pets and I was thinking the same thing just recently (and I think it’s been brought up before too!). If implemented, it could possibly apply to the pets of other classes as well, and mostly be tied to a rep vendor for a related zone.

It might have to be a consumable that needs to be renewed periodically, unless they code a way of that display info being stored and persisting. Because the ones that currently persist are hardcoded into their display IDs, instead of being spell auras applied during spawning (which are erased, necessarily, because they can also contain buffs and debuffs).

But it’s certainly a fun idea and there’s a HUGE range of possibilities for looks. It just needs a template to add them to.

That would be really cool. I’m still processing the razorwing removal since they were a hunter pet I wanted for over four years now. I’ve never felt so bad or disappointed in a patch drop like ever, I never miss release days, but I skipped release day last night due to the disappointment and exhaustion. Tww has been the worst recent xpac so far when it came to hunter pets, which made it really hard to play wow recently. I think purchasable items for pets, that are similar to the oil and ray gun is an excellent idea. If you have a hunter sticking to a theme, but can’t have a pet with a certain ability if doing so, that would open the door for so many themes

Thinking about it more, I'm wondering if the ideal would be a slot with a UI like item transmog auras, where you can select from all the auras/effects and slot it into your active pet, with optional checkbox for second pet (or even better, one slot for each so you can vary!)

That would be great.
basically enchant glows for pets.

I'm trying to find a Teal K'arroc, I've found like 30 gold ones, 10 purple, 2 blue, not a single teal.
I wish there was a better place to find them than the bloody oasis.

On a side note. Wow really needs to get more Quality controll this is another patch where half the content doesnt work.
The treasures are uninteractable, half the quests bug out so you need to abandon them and reselect.

Why are the shadowlands people here?
Are we just able to go back and forth again now? I thought that was sealed off.
Honestly this patch genuinely feels like they just had some leftover shadowlands stuff, Which makes me sad, cos the devourers are the only things I really wanted more info on. Like, why are we getting zereth devourers? The zereth forms are because they ate the stuff from there. Wouldnt they be, void warped or something instead?
We should have got the elftrolls patch.

But hey!
I'm probably gonna just get my M+ mount and raid clear and call it after I collect all the battlepets.
Maybe pre patch will give us something cool. Or we'll get some cool pet related stuff for the housing. Would love to bring my trophy from the garrison to my lawn. POSITIVE VIBES!

The Atrium and Eco-Dome: Prime also have K'arrocs flying around them.

Because the Brokers and the Ethereals are the same people. It is explained in the beginning questline. The Kareshi that went to the Shadowlands after the destruction of Karesh needed stronger containment suits, which is why they look different.

Tazavesh used to be the capital city of K'aresh, which is part of the reason why they teleported it back to K'aresh from the Shadowlands. And no, the Shadowlands isn't sealed off from Azeroth. There has always been ways to travel between them, even back in Vanilla (with what concept of the Shadowlands existed back then). What was sealed or mended was the direct hole between Icecrown and the Maw.

The Devourers from Zereth Mortis are likely just some that survived and made their way to K'aresh. As to why there aren't Void-corrupted ones, I don't think that they are trying to devour the Void as much. They are focused on the Eco-Domes, which are Arcane.

A couple of the side quests stated that the Brokers brought the Devourers with them as a source of anima.

This would also explain why Krolusks, Gromits, and Razorwings are in K’aresh. Brokers definitely brought them to K’aresh. Krolusks and some gromits were able to adapt to the zone pretty well. It bothers me that there’s more Krolusks than any other beast in K’aresh. The razorwings and other gromits are in a destroyed void eco-dome, they were probably borrowed for purposes but I’m possibly wrong. I have to agree with Danny, there could have been some void corrupted devourers instead of reusing mutated devourers from Zereth Mortis, like a devourer with void tendrils or scars would be epic. My mind was blown when I found out ethereals and brokers were the same race of otherworldly entity, just different shapes, locations, duties, and of course the accents

I wasn't interested much in the Kaarocs to be honest, but finding out they're actually pretty big when tamed made me like that even more. They're a scraggly looking bird, but that's part of their charm now to me.
