Reminder to tame any classic pets still in the current Eversong Woods before Midnight rolls in
I think it’s mainly the Classic red lynx skin which still only exists in Eversong Woods, and maybe the Dragonhawks there?

We've had no confirmation one way or the other, but I personally don't think they will be deleting the original Quel'Thalas entirely.
The blood elf heritage armor quest line is tied to those version of the zones, as well as countless achievements/item drops/etc. They have the technology to keep old versions of zones in the game now with phasing, and I don't think they're going to redo things like heritage armor any time soon. There's also new blood elf characters that have to keep a low level starting zone to quest through. A lot of messy details to try to remove or relocate, in my opinion.

It’s most likely going to be phased, you’re probably going to have to speak with zidormi to switch between the two timelines, the old, and new zones. In the old version which we have right now, there is still scourge presence and ghostlands which is fully scourged. The new version which comes next year will definitely have some void presence in some areas, some of silvermoon which is damaged in some areas, will probably be repaired, also the area that is the ghostlands now, has been restored and full of life again, and looks to have a similar color palette to hallowfall, a nice dark green with a pinch of teal

New players are being put through a new player experience in Midnight that focuses on introducing the current plot to new players rather than have them go through old zones. New players are also already encouraged to go through Exile’s Reach instead of the original leveling zones for the most part.Vephriel wrote: ↑Thu Aug 21, 2025 2:42 am We've had no confirmation one way or the other, but I personally don't think they will be deleting the original Quel'Thalas entirely.

Not phased as the current Quel’thalas (and Azure Myst zones) cannot be flown in or into due to not actually being part of the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor maps proper, and were never updated to support flying even when Cata happened. The new Silvermoon zone in Midnight will actually be part of the main EK map allowing it to connect to the other new zones as well support full flights which cannot work if they use the old outdated and detached TBC map. It’s possible they will keep a portal that will allow you to go to the original map like how there are two Dalarans, but the new Quel’thalas is definitely not the same map as the current one.worgpower wrote: ↑Thu Aug 21, 2025 10:06 am It’s most likely going to be phased, you’re probably going to have to speak with zidormi to switch between the two timelines, the old, and new zones. Blizz has confirmed that the old Eversong Forest and Ghostlands will not be going away, according to an interview with MrGM:
"Thanks to the magic of the bronze dragons, the old versions of the Ghostlands and Eversong Woods will still continue to be available, though the current timeline will combine them into an updated Eversong Woods.
It and the new Zul'Aman zone will be directly connected to the Eastern Kingdoms, so you can fly straight there from the Eastern Plaguelands without any loading screens."

I still went and grabbed them just in case something funky happens. It's Blizzard, and that's just an interview at Gamescom rather than real, tangible proof in beta access. While I hope there's no issues, I'm still gonna use some of my space to keep all the things just on the off chance something goes wrong. If nothing happens, then I'll just do a small stable cleanup in the first week.

I still think we’ll have zidormi added to the eastern plaguelands towards the entrance to quel’thalas. When we talk to her, it will change us to the old plaguelands phase with the old entrance to the older version, nobody will be sure if this will be the method, or if there’s a different and new method

New Quel’thalas confirmed to be part of Eastern Kingsoms map. How the old zone will be kept is likely just a portal somewhere.
It makes no sense to phase. The player experience would be bad because you can’t fly or even ride straight into i; the old map literally is so old it can’t allow flight and had to become a portal since Cata cos of how detached it and Azuremyst Isle are from the other maps, and the new map has new areas that aren’t one-to-one to the old map so the topology has changed.

Old Silvermoon as explained here was designed with flat forced perspective like old Stormwind, which would make flight look bad. So new Quel’thalas being flyable means the architecture and structure of the city is made - now being able to actually be made how the modern zones are instead of perspective tricks designed to be viewable only from the ground, deviates it even further from the old map.
