Yes, I am aware of the two of them. It is possible that they are hidden and require something to spawn them, but imo it doesn’t make sense to have them be hidden and the other two be out in the open. There is also a friendly npc that uses the golden variant that is out in the open.
Im glad that the animations will be updated sooner than Midnight.
For the longest time it’s been hard to use legion dreamrunners because they lacked an animation. During shadowlands the new dreamrunners had it while old ones only kicked with their front legs. When war within released, the animation was added to the old dreamrunners. It was imported improperly as they just did an inanimate target dummy pose instead of a horn animation. But now they are finally having their true glory, it would be amazing if all the creatures from this skeleton uses the new galloping animation used on the new headless horseman mounts and banshee chargers
OMG I have great news. I completed the heritage questline with a pandaren the other day, I know we found out we could access the balloon anytime, but I was able to access the balloon with a different character and race, I hope it's intended. now I hope they add in the missing windsteed colors, sorry it’s blurry, I’m just excited

If it's intended, then W move because now I want to actually play my panda just to get this.
If it's not intended, then let it be known that it SHOULD be a feature and that it would be a big L move if they fixed this.
I don't know where that confidence comes from, but I subscribe to it none the less. Not only would this give us access to the coveted windsteeds, but also to the four basic color cloud serpents that everyone has wanted for so long. Here's hoping your confidence isn't misplaced!
I don’t think it’s a big deal to let everyone in, heck in a different phase of the island, monks of every race can go. It’s not like this island is an important place to go at the end, aside from the hunter pets which isn’t a big deal. I also noticed that the cloud serpents are classed as dragonkin rather than beasts. I don’t think random cloud serpents and windsteeds were added for nothing
I decided to redo the questline on beta on my pandaren character to see if accessing the island still works with other races. It did work. I tried basically everything. Interacting with the windsteed guy, purging every windsteed, and searching around every part of the island multiple times, I went around the rims, small pocket areas, etc. no serene nor shimmering windsteeds were found, all were done on my hunter
Sorry, I should have mentioned that it's definitely intended for other races to go there, once it's unlocked It's a lovely extra bonus for completing the chain.
I did a quick flight around Pandaria and didn't see any windsteeds, but it's a huge place and I could have easily missed them if they were in a narrow area.
Throwing this question out thee since nobody seems to have considered it; do you gain access to the Wandering Isle on both factions upon completing the Pandaren heritage questline, or is it per faction? Asking because I can't test it for reasons I am not privy to admitting, and so that if someone else is wondering this, an answer will hopefully be out there.

I tested it earlier, it’s an account wide unlock, I tested my alliance character, I completed the questline on a horde character and it works, the missing colors of windsteeds are my main concern now
