I'm feeling a little better, and in a not-quite-ready-to-do-things-but-still-want-do-something state I spent some time re-evaluating some of my G1s. Thorntails and/or Sweet saved a few on the chopping block!

Found myself a new goal; Orca Petrified / Blue Flair / Sky Firefly. Guardian just happened to be the breed I stopped on, but this combo is criminally good on almost every breed and both genders. Guardians, Mirrors, Nocturnes, Pearlcatchers, and Ridgebacks look so good with this combo, so I don't know which one/how many I will stick with lol. Only gonna post Guardian to avoid too many images.


Though not the most ideal range, these two will be the guinea pigs who will (eventually) lay the winning egg:

My color ranges are as follows:
P: Moon, Ice, Orca, Platinum, Silver
S: Ultramarine, Blue
T: Sky, Stonewash

Unfortunately, I had to sacrifice a cool dragon for my goal. There were almost no other male dragons that even came close to what I wanted, and this one was already close to the desired goal so its colors were too valuable. RIP Metallic Facet Warrior Banescale, your sacrifice will (hopefully) not be in vain.

Small update on my current goal above; I've had ZERO luck. The primary gene pool is only five possible colors, yet somehow I've had no luck in getting that desired combination. On top of that, the two never make more than 2 eggs in a session, making it harder to work on my goal. So, I hit up the auction house again. I found a SIGNIFICANTLY better breeding pair, though I'll have to wait for one of the two to grow up.



The color possibilities are as such with this pair:
Ice - Orca*
Blue* - Ultramarine
Splash - Cornflower - Sky*

There are only 12 possible outcomes in this batch, so my goal of an Orca/Blue/Sky combo is much closer than my other pair that has 20 possible outcomes. Best case scenario: I get the desired result from both breeding pairs, which means I can flood the site with Orca/Blue/Sky dragons lol. As of this post, there are only 10 dragons that have not been exalted that have my desired color combination.

During Petopia's downtime, I succeeded in getting my Orca/Blue/Sky dragon that I posted way back in February. After that was done, I came across a random dragon on the site during Petopia's downtime that had Swamp/Amethyst/Mist as the color combo. It was apparently the only one with that combo, so I got curious to see what genes would look good since the user covered their dragon in clothes. I ended up with this, which for some reason just clicked with me. I knew what must be done.


I have two dragons prepared for this arduous task, and they are NOT the best options... The male dragon has Forest/Amethyst/Purple as its genes, and the female dragon has Green/Amethyst/Mist. This sounds close, right? Well, the color possibilities are as follows:
P: Forest - Camo - Algae - Swamp - Avocado - Green
S: Amethyst
T: Mist - Lavender - Heather - Purple

I've a 1/24 chance to get the color combo I want. I was lucky to get two dragons with Amethyst for their secondary gene, so I'm thanking my stars for that because that SIGNIFICANTLY shrinks the possible color combos I could've had. Still, twenty four possible combos is a lot, so the grind begins anew...


I also threw this together during the downtime based on another sole dragon with this combo;

Pumpkin/Bubblegum/Robin. This one was MUCH harder to try going for since no combos (at the time I checked) were even close, so that's on the backburner for a while lol.
