Suddenly cannot tame direhorns?

I am a freking maniac when it comes to taming hunter pets. Every special pet group that has been tameable I have unlocked the tome of whatever needed to tame them as soon as the expansion launches.

Case it point, I just got the florafauna tame ability.

When I try to tame the new chloroceros I am told I cannot tame direhorns.

But I can pull the one that I have tamed out of my stable just fine.

Is this a known bug or has anyone else seen this?

Should I go back and try to get the direhorn taming book to drop again-will it drop again if I have already read it once?

How odd! Have you tried taming a regular direhorn? I'm curious if this is specific to the chloroceroses and some people. I had no trouble with them on the Beta, though.

I haven’t had any issues taming them.

I had no issue taming them in beta. I have Horridon, armored blue, on this character. Going to go try to tame a regular really fast.

This is my main hunter and while I race change her often enough I have done all taming unlocks on her.

And at the isle of giants I am told again I cannot tame them, what the heck bliz?!

Welp got the tome again and it is letting me tame now.

Checking the blood beasts, mechanicals, ottuks, all look good so far.

The older times are a bit annoying to get, especially the direhorn tome since you have to manually farm it on each character. I had no issues taming the choloceros, in fact the choloceros was the first creature I tamed as soon as the florafaun skill dropped

did you recently race change to dracthyr? for some reason anyone who did this lost the ability to tame direhorns and had to grind out another tome.

I changed to dracthyr when they were released. Such a weird bug

Aha! I completely forgot this was a thing after all this time.
