Ivory Cloud Serpent No Sliver of N'zoth

I was discussing Cloud Serpents with some guildies and a fellow hunter mentioned that you could tame the Ivory Cloud Serpent without the Silver of N'zoth if you have the lasso.

If this is true, the Petopia Info might need updating to mention that?

I cannot confirm.

I can confirm the sliver still works to tame him though. I went out and managed to do so about a month or two ago with the sliver.
