If there are any addons that can help find NPCs ingame, that would actually be super helpful. Unfortunately, Blizzard's constant and intrusive changes to the API have caused addons to become more limited over time, so using a Wowhead pin's coordinates with Tomtom is the most reliable and simple method to finding things, though having to tab back and forth between your browser and the game is a repetitive chore. There are other coordinate-related addons besides Tomtom, but I personally use Tomtom and can vouch for its continued reliability over the years. Other than a coordinates addon, Handynotes is a great way to find rares in any expansion, as long as you have the module for the expansion(s) you're looking for. Handynotes doesn't have an all-in-one package sadly, so you have to download a bunch of extra addons for the 100% complete package. Make sure you use a proper adblocker on Curseforge when doing that if you go to download a bunch of Handynotes modules.
Of course, the tried and true method for finding pets is to just use Petopia's database since it's almost 100% accurate and filled to the brim with necessary information on all known beasts and beast-adjacent tames, but nobody here uses Petopia

I openly admit to finding bugs and exploits so they can be reported asap and get fixed. You might have seen some of the fun hunter pet side effects posted here in the past.
I will never share how to perform exploits. The only ones who know are those I personally trust to help get things fixed.

Thanks anyway for your useful hints, I already have followed them all. I am grateful for sources like Petopia and Wowhead, but it is all about saving precious time and an addon absolving all the tasks you described would be SO helpful. Thx for your answer and have a nice day!
