It's working! Though I'm afraid my very first click (which was to open this thread) gave me the familiar 503 error. 
Not sure if that was a hopeful fix with this update or not.
A refresh tends to fix these but I've noticed they've stuck around for a while, especially if I go to open a few topics in multiple tabs (the first one might load but the next two will be 503 pages until I refresh them)

I think the 503 error might be part of the throttling the server owner added to prevent spamming bringing down the site I haven't had one lately, so you may have just been unlucky.
