Ugh, Blz always finds a way to kill the fun for no good reason. The Writhing Serpents model is actually really cool, but just like Grovecrawlers and Shredclaws, Blz intentionally shrank them down — they could easily have kept their pre-tame size, as if they were actually going to block your entire screen  . Writhing Serpents also have a really cool tail-sweep animation that doesn’t carry over after taming either...

And as for the giant Serpent Hydras: they only appear massive to their owner. To other players, they’re the exact same size as Helhounds. I was wondering if there could be an option that lets Hunter players freely adjust their pet’s size to some degree, without affecting how it looks to anyone else.

We're still waiting for Blizzard to get around to the cosmetics they wanted to do with pets they wanted to do back in the glitch tame pet era.

Is the strike for these on like a weekly rotation? Haven't seen it at all this week.

It is a rarer strike, but it can spawn every day.

There does appear to be a rotation of Vault strikes. The one with the tameable transparent green snakes and writhes has cycled in as of today. With the way the Strike cycle seems to work, you have until Tuesday to grab what you need!

From patch launch till now, we could only do Underbelly, Ruuk'jar's Clutch, and Curse depths strikes. From today till Tuesday, we can do Earth and Sky, Overflowing Venom (this one has the tames), and Profane Pyres.

Edit: Looks like they didn't cycle with tuesday reset so I have no idea what the cycle is.

Yeah, it seems like a pointless change :( The hydras only appeared large to the owner, they weren't a problem for anyone else, they didn't get in the way. And for them to rush the hotfix through so quickly, as if it was a serious issue, seemed like a really weird sense of priority.

I find that pet-related changes are super fast, while genuine issues that can be stopped fairly easily stay in the game for months or even years lol. Hunter pets are the most oppressed aspect of the game, second only to archaeology. (this is exaggerated of course)

They're shrinking the hydra? That's a shame. I kind of like having the big ol thing.
