New Pets in Forever (Spoilers)

I keep popping back by and periodically camping, seeing other skelves (and even a tauren!) camping for him - but no sightings yet. It's going to be fun trying to get him after launch ^-^

Some bears have Swipe. Deals damage up to 3 enemies

And the best one yet...

Hunters can tame pets 2 levels higher. This isn't a bug as first thought. It's one of our upgrades and improvements.

Urs'anha grants a new passive that it gives called Slower Attack II; it decreases attack speed by 20%.
There's a new Elite spider in Durotar, just outside Valley of Trials.

He appears to have at least two spawn points in that one area. I saw him a second time when the shards were rapidly switching. Only 2 seconds but he was outside the spot I first found him.

There's also a level 10 rare elite zombie Nessy in the lake. Blightsculler. Not sure if it's tameable but it's a Nessy so probably not.

Looking like Bears got a new ability; I picked up a Giant Grizzled Bear in Silverpine and it knows Swipe (like the Druid bear ability). At 13 it hits 3 things for 4 damage costing 10 focus with a 5s cooldown.

I was just able to grab Mystmane (Rare Bear from Shadowgale Forest that you have labeled Windmyst). It comes with the new Savage Rend Rank 1 and a new passive (Increased Attackspeed) Rank 2 (increases attackspeed by 25%) it also has a 1.6 AS if anyone was curious.

Among the lower-poly versions of retail models that have been added to Forever, there are three models with a new colour that looks pretty much the same for each.

Thunder lizards, bone spiders, and dread ravens all have this new black with maroon-purple look.

I'm wondering if anyone has ideas on what area or situation they might be designed for, because the palette chosen seems very specific:

One guess I have for the spider (and perhaps the dreadraven?) could be the new Tirisfal dungeon in Undercity, but I haven't seen inside there yet

Maybe! Especially if there's an outdoor area. Thunder lizards haven't been used in that area before (to my knowledge?) but doesn't mean they weren't present in higher numbers before the plague. The consistent golden eyes is intriguing, though.

They might be used in a higher level area. Beta only goes to 20 (later to 30), so they could be used somewhere inaccessible for now.

New to hunter and camping pets, been hanging out at this Coldrasp spot for 6 hours so far with no sign of it. Been sitting in the ring of mushrooms, and making laps every so often.

Do I need to be killing wolves? I have killed them a few times, but mainly have just been camping around the mushroom ring.

Hello! First time posting! Just wanted to post a picture of Coldrasp as I just tamed him about 2 hours ago. Thanks to this forum for the info. It’s how I even found out about him. He’s beautiful! Happy hunting!

Attached are all the Skyborne-themed beast models. Same range of four colours for each - a design philosophy similar to the Coiled Isle creatures.

Which models have you found at least one creature for? Any you have not? I know the owlbears seem to be mostly supplanted by that Emerald Dream model, for some reason, but I hope they do add some.

I'm still working out the logistics of adding these to our database without having to create a whole separate Forever site (for now). Once I do I'll add a reference page for them all.

Also note: The owlbear model seems to be either encrypted or missing at the moment, but its textures are visible, so I placed them on the Druid model (which should be pretty close in appearance to any wild form).

There's a horned variant of the raptor bird model, but I'm pretty sure that's the Druid form so I omitted it for now.

I'm also taking shots of the Forever versions of retail models. Most of these are very close to retail, just de-ressed / lower poly. Conversely, I wonder if there are higher poly versions of all the new models (above) that might appear in Retail some day. The prideclaw mount from the CE suggests they exist.
