Leveled up to 10 in Durotar, ran to the Thunder Lizards, dismissed my pet and tried to tame a Big ol Dinosaur... Not tamable. =(

I've been playing the Forever beta and noticed that my raptor has rank 1 of Savage Rend. Curious what other goodies Forever pets are hiding. The raptor I got in specific was the Shrieking Matriarch in the Skyborne starting zone. (Feathered raptor model)

New area in Tirisfal Glades, the Whispering Forest, has a new(ish) wolf skin. It's one of the worg colors applied to the basic wolf. I didn't find it on a hunter so I can't check if it can be tamed, but I'd be surprised if it can't.

Do pets still have "caster stats"?

Also, I'm sorry for the moderator approval policy on posts by new members. I know it must be frustrating. We had a spate of spam bot accounts join this year and it was the only way to reliably combat them. But I've just lowered the threshold for when approval is no longer required.

So you can tame pets 2 levels higher than your character, does that mean you can level them all the way up to 62 (or 22 in the beta)? Or can you only get the extra levels by taming a pet at 22 to start with?

Your pets cannot level beyond your own level while leveling. Since the world doesn't have mobs that are 62 to tame, the highest you can tame is 60.

Also, it may go without saying, but just in case anyone is not aware, progress from Beta will not carry over once the Beta is over. Everything will be deleted and characters will have to start fresh.

Just so everyone is aware, at least with Takk the Leaper and Humar the Pridelord, Blizz has added new set gear pieces to them, which will incentivize them being camped by other classes to kill them for loot, which will make them being tamed by Hunters harder.

Also layering while waiting for a spawn is super vexing. I guess a mega server is worth it, but…

I can only dream because it was a glitch, but I would sell a kidney for Araga to have the stripes on her tail again…I was crushed when they fixed that because of the months I camped her. Give me my Liger back
