Patch 12.1.7

Since Patch 12.1.5 is coming out tomorrow, we'll probably see the ptr for 12.1.7 start up within a couple of weeks or so.

Not too much so far in 12.1.7, but at least one new model that (hopefully) will have a non-saddled version at some point, if not now

That mount looks epic. I hope it will become a wild beast because it looks better than the bfa stegodons imo, and 1000x better than those Dragonflight thunder lizards, which is makes it a cooler combo. BFA thunder lizard textures and plates + Dragonflight thunder lizard’s body frame. It will most likely use ksm armoredon aka chloroceros animations

As for the pet transformation toy. I find it kind of bland for it to only work on hunter pets, it should have been open to other classes with permanent pets, it would have been hilarious to see a DK with Misha or a Warlock with Huffer. At first I expected it to summon exclusive pets to tame for your hunters, but this is fine as well

Has to be a new breed of them, since they look way more carnivorous.

In terms of the pets, I think the toy should turn companion pets into it instead. that's just me though.
I'd love a special npc that would summon versions of enemies for you. Tie them to an achivement or something. Summon a mount version to tame.

That actually brings up a question.
How many mounts are actually usable in combat? Like how many of them have combat animations?

It's hard to be sure whether that mount foreshadows future world content or not. Because it's a Shop item it could go either way. It seems like a bunch of shop mounts are just artists being free-form creative (which is wonderful) and some are related to future game stuff. With this one it's really hard to tell which it is!

I suspect it's not related to in-game content because its frame is more geometrical than we expect in WoW models from world content (e.g. its head is quite blocky). It looks more like one of those HotS models that was adapted for WoW. I want to say the more plastic texture is also a giveaway that it's a HotS-derived model but the previous thunder lizard model was like that too.

OMG, this part completely slipped my notice! I'm not a fan of $$$ content affecting hunter pets but it's related to Petopia so I'll have to catalogue it somewhere.

OMG, this part completely slipped my notice! I'm not a fan of $$$ content affecting hunter pets but it's related to Petopia so I'll have to catalogue it somewhere.

I like to think I'd take better care of Misha and Huffer than Rexxar does. I actually use mend pet and revive pet!

Having recently done the quests at the Crossroads in Forever, I dunno about that rug. It has hooves.
