I saw a neutral gray fox mob today, west of Raven Hill.

Yep, they're tameable and on the proper list to be put on the site. Apologies if I hadn't put it on this one yet! I haven't found any of the other colours of the same model.

They know Trickster's Dance 1 when tamed, and are all over Duskwood.

I was wondering if we were gonna get these as an option. Has anyone checked for Lightning Paw? Even if he can't be a spirit beast, he could be hiding somewhere as a standard fox.

According to Wowhead, he isn't currently in game. That could change, of course, but as of right now there isn't an NPC in the Forever database named Lightning Paw.

Haven't tried it, but I imagine since this is built on retail and those sort of tames (killed and tamed at the same time) were fixed to not work, it may not work here. Worth trying, though!!!

I really wonder if they're going to leave her tameable at all.

I'm not 100% certain, but Petopia and WCM may be offline for a number of weeks, starting very soon. Or they may be okay, but I'm posting pre-emptively.

You may have heard a very serious PHP vulnerability was revealed today, and it will affect our server. Our sites, and this forum, rely heavily on php, so killing the php server will stop our pages from working. So that may or may not happen any time now.

Our host is probably not going to apply the upcoming php fix and has asked me to move Petopia and WCM to a hosting company. I'm already in negotiation with one but nothing is going to happen until after I get back from leave in early November. And even then I'm not sure how quickly we can get things running.

And to be honest, I'm not sure how much it's going to cost so I don't know if I can afford it. My work has been sparse and the site ads bring in very little revenue these days. But I'll see what I can do.

Sad to see the Beta get shut down, but I did manage to tame Coldrasp late last night. May have been the last one, dunno, but it was a fun (frustrating) journey there as a low-level Nelf.

He hit me like a truck because I was missing armor from my many deaths getting there. I couldn't even concussive shot him because my bow broke, lol! I died several times trying to tame, but somehow got lucky on some dodges.

Thanks for the kind offer, but I'm not sure what hosting will look like and how much it will cost at this stage I'm hoping I can just do it without troubling people for funding but it may come to that. I seriously have no idea, not even a rough, ballpark figure of the cost! But I hope I will soon. It's unfortunate this is all happening right as I leave for 10 days (which is a vacation but can't be delayed as there are both bookings and others relying on me).

I'll post when I know more.

It looks like our server owner hasn't taken down PHP yet. I haven't heard from him again so I still don't know how long we'll continue to run here.
