I'd love to see the bats get a new model! The current ones make me a sad panda because they aren't flying fox bats.

(Kinda like how the wolves and bears should get rid of their 'snarl' face. I know they need to look fierce, but they could at least look slightly friendly out of battle, right?)

I am very fond of bats, IRL. They are fascinating animals. I like the ones in WoW, for that reason. However, it took me a very long time to give them a chance, for the aforementioned cosmetic reasons. The huge fangs, the WTF claws, the hind feet, the holes in the wings. Bats need some love!
I would rather see a new model than new skins that use the same badly flawed model.

Hey did you know all of the new zealands bat types (i think theres like 3 but there VERY rare so you hardly see them i my self have only seen stuffed ones) all hunt mostly on the ground? both the New Zealand Greater Short-tailed Bat and the New Zealand Lesser Short-tailed Bat have both evolved to mainly hunt on the ground and can hardly fly.
The New Zealand Long-tailed Bat can fly and mainly hunts in the air. Their allso our only native land mammels. I bet like none of you knew that!

....Bats aren't my favorite of all the species to choose from and I think their look is a major reason why. They are extremely ugly pets but they aren't that 'ugly' cute I mean their the real ugly ones. For one their front fangs look like they are coming out of their mouths and their hunch backs make them look like they should be living as gargoyles on some creepy roof tops...not as bats. And the membrains of their wings don't look like membrains, they look paper thin like the wings; on some bat species this is okay but on this specific one I don't think it lookes right...it should be feeding into the wing and be less noticable, like right here where their inside the wing and actually look the way they are supposed to.

For what it's worth, Deepholm beta tester feedback has mentioned a quest where you have to get basilisks to turn bats to stone (?). This may indicate that there are or will be tameable bats in Deepholm and, yes, a new skin/model would be welcome.
